Not responding when changing to windowed mode

Game will not go to windowed mode, continually stops responding, not using many resources.

I solved this by editing the config file in "My Documents->Egosoft->X4 Foundations"folder. Hope it helps as a workaround.
Make sure to change fullscreen to false and borderless to false also.

Try disabling your Steam overlay, and also try adjusting your graphics settings to see whether any particular feature is triggering the problem. If you'd like further help then we're going to need the information requested at the top of the forum, including DXDiag and vulkaninfo files.
