sounds cool, i'll try it.

i once used a swarm of pegasus to take out some khaak that were about 7000 kms from the sector center. yea they can only equip those useless weapons, but i gave them some wasps.

don't know how they got there, but they started to slow the game, and all of my sector defenders went to get them leaving my transports undefended :cry:

they truly are the worst fighters, they fly way too fast.

1700?!?! gotta try that

if you look at the details list you can see how long the tuning should last for your ship. If you are using M6 corvettes 120 seconds is normal time with SETA active it should be reduced to 12.

My bad. I was actually using an M3 barracuda, didn't realize you had done the change for different times. So, I guess it actually lasted 8 seconds on SETA, not 12. My bad.

I downloaded TuningKitMK1_V2Beta2 but I have uncovered a conflict with either xaicorp.xtc2.v1.0 and / or Xai Corp Advanced Combat Project 1.55c, with this script (TuningKitMK1_V2Beta2) I saved and reloaded in a temporary save slot, “Xaicmd” converts to “custom” and AP status changes to “COMMAND_TYPE_GENERAL_25”

The problem only happened when I installed the script, if I remove the script the temp game is still affected but my real saves are safe, could someone confirm or deny this?

Edit

Got it working, don’t know how or why but it works and I LIKE!!!!!!!!

Great job! :thumb_up:
I've just translated those scripts for the french forums, but I should've asked you before: is it OK for you dPM_HeMan ? Let me know quickly if you have a problem with it...
My only concern is, I think it should be a little more difficult to get this Unit: maybe you should accomplish something for the TerraCorp in order to gain it, or your ship could get minor hull damages... anyway, I'm not able to do it myself :roll:
Anyway, a great idea and it works perfectly, dank vielmal et à la prochaine...

QuantaCat wrote:Pegasus to 1700? That's somehow... overkill. Especially since I only use the pegasus as messenger boy, to buy ships in sectors that I dont want to waste energy cells on for a jumpdrive.

Actually, has anyone ever tried using the pegasus as fighters? Are they any good?
I used a Pegasus to take out some Khaak M5s. I checked first to make sure the M3 was somewhere else! :P

I could not hit much at full speed. By the time I was in range I was already gone. :wink:

I stared working the throttle. Up to approach, down to 150 or so to shoot, up to get away before the shields gave out. Actually, much like the booster would work. :)

Got them all. More fun than My Nova. :)

Edit: It was the cruiser cluster that scatters the M5s, not the big one.

Not a bad script. I would like to see a hot hey like "shift TAB" or something like that to start it and "shift TAB to stop it."
Come watch me on Twitch where I occasionally play several of the X games

If you have a joystick with key mapping software that will take multiple keys, you shuold be able to map this to a joystick button. IIRC both the Logitech and MS joystick mappers can do this.

naturellement, pas de problème :D

happy to hear that so many of u like the script :) , unfortunatly
the last version i sent to ego was never really finished, i always wanted to further improve the balance.
When i saw that ego finally signed the script i sat down again and tried to fix it, the result can be downloaded here (requires full version):

Tuning Addon V2.1

just replace the existing file in scripts folder
I hope Ego will include the changes in the official version.

Main changes are only about balancing:

M1:
approx. + 110 m/s
max. 160 sec = 80 e-cells

- Collossus: 162 -> 248
- Shark: 200 -> 281
- Zeus: 194 -> 267
- Raptor: 234 -> 324
- Condor: 126 -> 207

TL:
approx. + 90 m/s
max. 160 sec = 80 e-cells

- A.Mammoth: 225 -> 315
- B.Orca: 247 -> 326
- P.Hercules: 227 -> 335
- S.Elephant: 303 -> 395
- T.Albatros: 234 -> 345

OK...
I looked at your "SeS" and "Mercenaries" scripts too, in order to adapt them for the french versions. I solved the language problems (german texts are in the scripts themselves, instead of being in the **2244.xml), but there are still some bugs... The SeS works correctly and is really impressive and usefull; but the add-on isn't so fun, IMO :wink: . I think it could be really usefull if you could hire pirate mercenaries, but I'm not able to fix that myself...
Anyway, thx a lot, and those scripts are really a great work!
see you, comme disait l'autre... :D

I also like the script very much. I just started trying it last night.

I would like to report some problem I found. I do not know whether it is related to installing this script but I did not observe it before (for sure).

After buying the kit at a pirate station and installing it in ANOTHER ship, I was killed several times before I realized that my ship suddenly reduced its speed to one fourth of the maximum speed during battles. Keeping my finger on the Tab key and pressing it continuously solves the problem but it is really annoying. I later tried another ship out of combat (a Xenon K). The speed is again reduced to one fourth when I suddenly turn up or down (not for side turns). Is this related in any way to this script?

Note: I also installed BHP 1.40 and updated TradeCommandSoftwareMK3.

Is there any way to uninstall the script? I guess that I have to remove the kit from all of my ships (i.e. by moving the cargo to a useless ship and selling it), save the game and remove all the scripts. But I remember that one of the scripts was replaced. is that right?

Please help

this is kind of strage :gruebel: , do you mean your ship's speed gets effected although you have installed the "Engine Booster" on a different ship ? :o
I'd be very surprised if it's a problem of the script :(

Removing the whole script is a bit difficult, because of the new ware that has been created on the pirate stations, even if you delete all files it'll probably remain as "readtextXXXX" that has to be removed by a script or something.
The "Engine Booster" -script does not replace any existing files.

To be more precise, a ship that has no Engine Booster installed in it cannot fly faster that its speed limit, that is, it has no speed boost. However, while flying at the maximum speed, such a speed gets reduced to one fourth when I do some quick turns. In particular, it happened to me in the Xenon K when turning up and down, but not when turning left and right. Other ships, like the Perseus, also had the same problem. I did not try with every ship I own.

Right now, I fixed the problem by restarting the game, loading the only save game I had from a time before installing the script, and later loading the last save game. I did not use the engine booster again, just in case the problem arises once again. But I can try to reproduce the problem if you are interested on it.

Thanks

*hmm* :gruebel: i can't belive that this is a prob with the script, at least i don't know why this could happen :( - although u can never know how all these things exactly work together :lol:

if this prob really comes from the script i don't belive i can fix it :(

There IS a command for removing wares from a station, so if you modify the setup that places the ware in the station, it will be able to remove it by deleting all the extraneous things and changing it from placing it there to taking it from there.
