Problem Description
The specific crash you have experienced appears to be related to starting X Rebirth under windows 10, and it appears to be related to "CreateDevice" for your videocard. You might see a dialog box with some message when it crashes.

Please email crash@egosoft.com and provide any information which you think can help use solve the issue. We'd like to know whether it always happens when you start the game, or only sometimes. Furthermore if a message box appears, we'd like to know what is says (a screenshot would be ideal).
You can try running the game in windowed mode. To do this, you have to edit your configuration. You can find the configuration file on your hard drive in "\userdir\<username>\Documents\Egosoft\<steam-id>\config.xml" - create a backup first. Open it in a text-editor and find the <fullscreen>-section. Change the 'true' to 'false', so it looks like this:
<fullscreen>false</fullscreen>
Save the file and re-run the game.
