i know where you're coming from. the first time i stepped into a shipyard and saw the offred ships, i also first checked them out in the ingame encyclopaedia to get that misleading information. Fedhelm refuses to launch drones and wont do anything if im around nearby, it does move around tho and eventually parked up near some asteroids. It does gather mats once im out-of-sector. The new docking-port since the patch is also a nice one... Now i can finaly crew the tub.

aye, tried it vanilla without other extensions and it's backing up to reposition again. hm, now after some time it stopped working at all and an AI Fedhelm is stuck in the same way about 2 km from it. maybe something about 1.17 patch.

I had a bug where I manually tagged in mining mode astroid rocks. My cargo ship would deploy drones they would go out a short ways and stop frozen.
To try to fix the issue and recall the drones. I removed the freighter from the squad and re-added it. then I sent it mining automatically in a deployed the two drones, It had left. I told at the stop mining and recall the two drones and left and the other eight unaffected still frozen.
I went ahead and deleted all my saves and restarted just in case mods weren't updating and leaving stray scripts in the save. If the bug happens again I will make a video upload saves and extensions.

Mmm i try out of sector. Hi,
Just trying out this mod and I'm experiencing some...oddness.
I've asked my mining ship (fully equipped Fedhelm) to collect Nividium in Zone Forty-Two (DV.GT.2) and it immediately sends out drones to start collecting. I assume the area has a lot of natural floating stuff that the drones can just collect.
Anyway, the drones start collecting stuff and bringing it back to the ship - totally ignoring the particular mineral I asked them to collect though, but I think that's vanilla behaviour.
After a few minutes I notice the ship suddenly launch forwards as a huge speed, like it'd been hit by something. It took a lot of damage too. I cotinue to watch it and every to often it flies off in a seemingly random direction, once again taking damage. Put it this way, I, at full speed, would struggle to keep up for those few seconds it's moving. Though it does soon come to a halt again.
The ship is continuing to collect minerals, it's zapping the odd asteroid too, so the mining side is working. It's just this regular flying off in a random direction, as if hit - HARD - that's got me confused.
Any ideas? This is my first attempt at mining.
