this would give a sense to those arrays. i guess they are not good for nothing at the moment.

I just noticed that there seems to be an issue in V0.4 that once you save a game with a configuration it is never reloaded when changed. To fix that issue open the config file and replace

<cue name="NESA_Start">
with

Code: Select all

<cue name="NESA_Start" instantiate="true" onfail="complete" checkinterval="10s" checktime="0s">
This will force the game to reload the config every 10 seconds.

Yeah, that would make sense, but I have no idea if it would even be possible to check for the arrays. I will take this up, but with a very low priority.

This is what i love about the X-community. As I once said to a friend of mine: if you start playing the game and think "hmm, i wish there was an option to do this and that", just go to the forum and 90% of the time someone already did that!

Congrats on this MUCH NEEDED mod!

I have just released V0.5 which features even more configuration options which allow the mod to be properly balanced with the main game.

In version V0.5 I have created language files for all languages, though they contain only English text. If somebody was willing to translate the texts into Italian I would be happy to incorporate that (the same goes for all other languages except English and German).

Lol it's funny, walking in stations was one of the most requested features in X-R. Yeah the interiors are quite fugly but still it's funny to see how much people don't like to actually go and talk with NPCs, rather give me the list of everyone in the universe so I don't have to move my ship. Haha!

Egosoft you pretty much wasted all the time creating all these models for NPCs and stations even though not many of them because everyone here hates walking in stations and talking with NPCs in person. I think it's because people so used to play previous X games and never deal with space stations or NPCs.

I am not sure what you mean. You need to go to the Nexus, and download V0.5. Install by overriding the NESA folder in extensions. Then you can start modifying the configs.

Ok, just install? Well, error in game. After message 'upgrade', the key 'enter' not work.

I think it's not accepted because the stations are all repeating... there are a hand full of stations and all look the same. There are not much variations about models in addition.
If you have played SW:Online you will have recognised it looks very similar to those stations... It's jsut VERY VERY BAD done.

Before doing something very bad, do smth. else good.
If you do smth very bad - at least provide opportunity to those who don't want to go repeatedly over and over again on same stations doing exactly same things...

Is is not innovative gaming but wasting time while doing very stupid things.

Thanks a lot for those mods to give the choice to the player if he wants to go on stations.

Furthermore the game is just extremely buggy and I'm talking about straight forward story - nothing special at all... :evil:

If you are using V0.5 please download the hotfix V0.5.1 since it fixes a critical bug.

Also, there seem to be issues when upgrading from V0.4 to V0.5 due to the way the mod handles the config parameters. I'll be looking into a fix for that, but it might force you to start a new game with the next version (that's why the frontpage features a warning :wink: ).

EDIT:
I might have found a solution to the parameters problem. Please open your savegame with a text editor (don't use notepad as the files are way too large, use Notepad++) and search for "$NESA". This should bring you to all my config variables (mine where somewhere in line 500000+). First, this allows you to check the values, and secondly, try deleting them and then save the file. Then load the game, wait for the NESA update message and hopefully the game will reload my configs.

Hi Guys

I have a question, i have just entered busy system with many docks, i fire up the comms and i look for a Engineer, there are 4 available, each of them are out of range to do business which is fine but how do i tell where they are? Is there a way to target the dock that person is in?

In V0.6 I will add the distance to NPCs in parentheses behind the name so that you can see how far away they are.

Also, you can always simply go to the config file, and set the values for MaxTradingDist etc. to 5km as well. This means you will be able to trade with all NPCs you see in the list.
