Nevermind, found it. Accidentally modified the "gamestate" option first. Could anyone tell me what the registry for "gamestate" should be? Does it matter?

These gamestarts do not have any starting mission, which you could complete. They simply provide other starting scenarios.

So i just finished breaking grounds and got the sector. The south gate is linked to void of opportunity. Is there a way to change this? Roguey got heretics end, which is much better.

AIUI there should be TWO gates:
South = (As you have discovered) Void of Opportunity
East = Heretic's End

I would like the next patch to have a small graphical change.

Currently stations/docks show only one mission icon at a time (Build, Think, Fight, Trade), but more often than not once you communicate with a station/dock, you discover that they have multiple NPCs offering a variety of missions. When doing missions I usually just do the "Build" and "Think" variety.

What I would like to see in the next patch is multiple mission icons beside each representation of a station/dock and also multiple icons in the "sector map" beside the station/dock name, when appropriate.

Wasn't listed in the notes, and I haven't fully confirmed, but it also appears they fixed the little bug with xenon patrol missions counting as accepting two missions rather than one in your pilot status mission history.

playing AP vanilla.
Im kinda stuck on the mission where I need to collect hull plating. Im totally hostile to terran, so I cant dock at any of their factories. Right now, I have my fleet blockading Segaris, and after killing hundreds of terran, aldrin and ATF ships, over the course of a few hours, I managed to salvage some 30-ish hull platings from the wrecks.

Is there a more elegant way, or do I need to continue grinding through terrans?

Also, I noticed that when my ships fight OOS, there is a lot less, if any, loot drops compared to when Im in sector. Is that normal?

While I don't disagree with putting multiple icons on the sector map, I do think the HUD is currently too busy and messy as it is. More of those icons floating above stations would just create more unsightly clutter.

So therefore, I respectfully disagree.

At this point it is much more likely that the update will be delivered through the Egosoft own MAC port that is currently being worked on. However I don't know when this port will be finally released.

If you have enough fire power, you could try to blow up a Hull plating factory and see whether this drops some more units of hull plating. Or of course, you could try to build up rank with the Terrans by connecting some Xenon sectors with the Terran Territory and killing Xenon ships. Then you would be able to simply buy hull plating.

Another option prior to the whole ware collecting task would be choosing a different faction to partner with. I think one of the factions will provide all of the hull platings. I just can't remember, which it is.

Yes, that's normal. I would even go so far to say that in "pure" OOS fight between AI ships there isn't any loot drop at all. I'm not sure though, if conditions like monitoring the fight over the the sector map or sending in own ships do have an impact on this or not.

Loot never has dropped with OOS battles in any of the games. So unless something changed in the recent patches for AP, that should still be the case. You have to be in the same sector for loot drops.

Strong Arms; they'll also provide the Ore and Teladianium for that delivery.

Egosoft developer timon37 is working on Egosoft own MAC ports at the moment. The X3R version is already up for beta testing (see this thread). X3TC and X3AP versions will follow afterwards, in the latest versions then. Similar to the Linux ports the plan is to get the respective keys from the developers of the original ports and to add them to Steam, so users who bought the existing ports can play the new ports as well.

I cannot remember what I was doing but I was busy at the moment when I got a message from Hot'Sht saying to get my you know what on back over but I said I was busy & SO FAR I have not gotten anything in the mission director for quite some time

If anyone has experienced this then how long of a wait in game time or days was it until you heard anything back or have I broke something.

Check your logbook. Most conversations via incoming messages are stored there, which might give you a hint about what you have to do now.

Maybe I wasn't clear enough on what I could be referring to but the PLOT has stopped for some reason I am not aware of because if I said or clicked on busy at the moment then I should be able to come back and see the blue book icon WHICH I do not see at all in Lost Order

& since I could not get the help or advice I consequently had to go back to another game save that has now turned into a very dirty clean up job & I will have to stop playing until the game is not in beta. I will say that I am very pleased that the MAC port is now handled by Egosoft & that a very good job has been done porting it over!

But after several game crashes today & the plot coming to a dead halt I am forced to not play it until it is not in beta anymore. Keep up the good work Brudas und Schwesterschiffs

Vanilla : My Shady Business plot has stopped when talking to Jerigan Springer on the Ozias.

Says in the quest log to talk to him, and hes on board, but just gives shipyard/equip dock/surrender options so can't progress the quest.

Even worse I thought it might be a time thing so played six hours since I finished the previous part.

Even tried killing a shed load of Xenon in BHS and Segaris but no joy.
