I have an English Friend, and we were out for dinner the other week there and when the talk turned to politics he said he will vote for anyone that looks like they will beat Farage in the next election, which is exactly what I think just happened, they voted for the greens as they looked like the best chance of beating the Reform party which they did.

Not really news itself, but a YT channel about news I found recently.

It's named "Good News" and that's all it is. It's there to give you some good news every now and then to counter all the bad news currently flooding every channel.
Their videos are aptly named "Your monthly dose of good news". No need to say more, I guess.

The United States bans new consumer routers not made in America. This ban includes routers designed in America but assembled abroad. It even goes so far as to mention the supply chain, so it might mean that even a significant amount of the parts needed to build a router must be sourced in America. The ban does not count for models allready on the market. There is also a way to certify a new model with FCC even if it is build abroad, but apparently the process is very complicated. As for software updates: German computer magazine Heise reports that Updates that add new features will require FCC approval but safety updates will not need approval toll 2027.

So, it's okay for US techbros manipulating votes by promoting far-right parties and abusing their social media portals to influence political discussions and yelling about "EU having problems with free speech" / "EU being too restrictive for 'AI' and other tech regulations" - but it is not okay to have a free market for hardware? Wow, talking about double standards...

:D Yeah, Nestlé couldn't resist themselves:
"We've always encouraged people to have a break with KitKat," a spokesperson told AFP, referring to its famous catchphrase. "But it seems thieves have taken the message too literally and made a break with more than 12 tons of our chocolate."

Artemis, the first manned mission to (orbit) the moon since the early 70's? Launching in approx 6 hours.

A surely riveting live video feed has been going for over 10 hours -- though obviously likely more interesting nearer the 23:24 expected launch time.

The AI boom is a lie A good video on what state the AI market is in right now. Taking in what he says I'm going to guess that sooner rather than later there is going to be a lot of cheep video cards on the market along with ram, HD's and SSD's. All those companies bought all of that equipment with nowhere to use it, there has to be warehouses full of unused cards right now and by the time they will be ready to use them they will be out of date that's if they are ever ready to use them, so I suspect they will try to sell them off to try and recuperate some of their money back.

Probably just as well considering the current Straits of Hormuz issues are threatening a lot of new chip and tech manufacture and availability for the immediate future.

This suppose to be a parody video, but unfotunately it's a reality:

If you've not seen Patrick Boyle's (Economics/Finance Prof and ex Hedge Fund manager) more "follow the money" breakdown of the AI bubble, it's a very interesting watch -- published five and a half months ago. It'll cover the infrastructure builds/costs/funding/power generation issues/money generation/share price and so on (pointing out some have very strong fundamentals and will be fine).
