Finally managed to finish both games.

Styx: Master of Shadows, while decent, feel a bit clunky and dated (it's from 2014 so it's understable).

Styx: Shards of Darkness - this one is much, much, MUCH better. Not only newer graphics, but new mechanics and much more impressive level design. Finally something on par with Dishonored and Hitman, where you have several routes and 2-3 options to get your objective, plus some secondary objectives to actually have need to explore those locations. The story and characters are also written much better than the fist one (which is typical "amnesia" plot, where you feel like you started in the middle of a plot and supose to fill the gaps).

I'm actually looking forward to premiere of the 3rd game (Styx: Blades of Greed) on 19th of February
