Bookmark this link with Steam search setting and open it from time to time - it will show games that are on special zero price:MarvinTheMartian wrote: ↑Thu, 10. Jul 25, 22:53 Thanks for that, some look like the sort of thing I can play co-op with the kids. What's the secret for finding them? Apart from subscribing to this topic
Cheers,

Note that at the moment it seems to return error due to Steam server error, but normally it works fine.

Civilization VI is free on Epic this game has been free on Epic before so you might be tempted just to say, I already have it, but this version is the platinum edition, and it contains all the DLC and add-ons while the previous version was just the basic version so if you want the LDC then get this version, also when you click on the get button it will tell you that you already own part of it, just click on the accept button to get the DLC content.

Haven't had a chance to play the game, so I don't know what it is like, but it's free so:
Helium Rain is a single-player space simulation that places you at the helm of a spacefaring company.

I endorse it - it's a mini-X4 with The Expanse vibes.felter wrote: ↑Thu, 2. Oct 25, 01:46 Helium Rain is a single-player space simulation that places you at the helm of a spacefaring company.
Do not expect huge and super complex universe, but if it's for free then it's totally worth your time to check it out.
The only thing that might be weird for X4 players is that HR IS is real time, but HR eqivalent of OOS is turn based.

I thought this is worth a mention, got an email from GMG, (legit steam key seller)
They doing a bundle supporting a Charity named SpecialEffect, that helps to make games accessible to those with disabilities needs, so that they can play the games that they enjoy.
The Bundle is one day only, and includes 8 games, for a low price of $12 / £11 / €12
The bundle includes
RoboCop: Rogue City,
Old World,
Citizen Sleeper.
Moonscars,
Knights in Tight Spaces,
Battle Shapers.
Model Builder: Complete Edition,
Border Pioneer.
RRP is around 200
https://www.greenmangamingbundles.com/b ... ent=221348
The Bundle is probably worth it, one game, I alrealdy got, the others I don't. I'm thinking of getting them. IF I get around to playing them, is another matter.
But thought the bundle is worth it, BUT hurry, its only for one day.

Re: Steam/GOG etc - Free Stuff (or very, very cheap)
I know a lot of people don't care about this, but I do, so I just want to point it out. Vermintide 2 uses a kernel level protection, in other words you have to give Fatshark full access to your computer, while it doesn't seem to be the bad version where you have to remove it separately to get rid of it, you are still given someone greater access to your computer than you even have yourself.

Oh I do care - I don't let anything like that touch my rigs. I just gave up preaching about this some 20 years ago or so.

Hogwarts legacy is apparently free on Epic Games store until December 18, 2025? Site might not work well due to the giveaway.

Re: Steam/GOG etc - Free Stuff (or very, very cheap)
I have always fancied trying Hogwarts legacy, but it uses Denuvo and Denuvo does not work on my computer, so I have never bought it. Being given away on Epic makes me wonder how to make that work when the game is given away for free, as Denuvo gets a cut of all game sales that uses their software, also never understood why they use it on older games, as it probably costs them more than they would make without it.
