X3AP on steam, where is the product key located?
Already registered my TC copy with the forum and I want to register my AP copy with it too (purchased via steam), but for the life of me I cant find the product key from the steam library window. Does anyone know where its located?

Steam X3 AP individual purchase Registration key(or lack off)
Right I know this is a common problem with us steam users and I don't like using them at the best of times but it does offer instant satisfaction on what would be a boring evening. Anyway This issue without being able to register is there a specific reason other than that steam sucks and washes their hands of you once you've parted with your cash. I have tried all avenues posted on the forums. I even went as far as doing a full steam wipe along with x3tc and ap. That was after following the TC register game link. Now the reg key I keep getting is the TC key so obviously I get already registered response. I don't think I have somehow accidently registered as I am still stuck as a TC member. Any help would be appreciated. I enjoy the community here and I would like to be up to date and registered

There's an AP code with the Warpack which is TC and AP together.
I got 2 codes in the box 1 for TC 1 for AP but they both show up when reg'ing with forum as AP icons.

heh heh anyone would think its some sort of conspiracy. I see this topic pop up a few times on the site as I wanted to be completely sure that there wasnt a solution before I started A topic today(http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=320275) in the hopes it will be answered but so far it has been avoided. Now there is a very obscure FAQ type answer to my problem however it wasnt a very solid or reasuring answer which basicly come across like they were saying "if you keep your fingers crossed it should work, oh and if it doesnt its something you did) What I dont understand is with all these budding coders and modders and very involved staff that not only have they got on top of this problem but enjoyed doing soEmperorJon wrote:I totally agree with you clayfury! ... that's why a member of Egosoft staff has promptly answered this steam user's question.

You ask a question (one that, incidentally, had already been answered earlier in this thread) on a Sunday evening and a whole two hours pass before you start claiming the question is being avoided.
Once again: there is no code for X3AP. We did not issue Steam with separate codes for X3AP because there was no need for one, so your rant about this being some Steam error is completely off-target as well.

And quoting that other topic http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=320033CBJ wrote:The answer is very simple: there isn't a separate key for X3AP.
Incedently answered?, by that you mean "there isnt" as the complete explanation to alleviate this members boggle and subsequently others who also use the Tech support forum to find answers. Come on due you put more effort into correcting me then you did answering a general query. So are we at fault for being new to the community and that other members answer with they have reg keys and also that I cant find my AP summary on my profile. You would think you guys are fed up with aswering so a sticky would make everyone's lives easier. You ask a question (one that, incidentally, had already been answered earlier in this thread) on a Sunday evening and a whole two hours pass before you start claiming the question is being avoided.

as for the being avoided, that part of my rant was only part in jest and in response to another experienced member making a point about it. With the lack of coverage on here or steam of a matter which keeps poppin up and affects a vast majoritory of your playerbase that jokingly "its like its a conspiracy" now surely I was obviously messin. If however might I add that considering the large steam player base that maybe a news update on steam or site would help. So why doesnt steam need a registration code? We had to register TC to get a profile summary and other cool features and the fact we can upload AP stats but lack any personal AP summary and incompatible save games that it would have a seperate summary. As a single player game its those features which keep the players playing. As you can obviously see that my experience is laughable in comparrison to a majoritory here so I and others will obviously still have a few more stupid questions to come but patience is a virtue!

Nobody minds answering questions. It's when they are accompanied by a completely misplaced anti-Steam rant that it gets a little tedious. And no, it wasn't clear that you were not serious.
Regarding the lack of registration code, once again it has nothing to do with Steam. The registration code primarily provides you with access to the Tech Support forum. Since X3TC and X3AP share a Tech Support forum and you have to own and have a registration code for X3TC in order to play X3AP, there is no need for X3AP to have one.
As for sticky threads, everyone knows that nobody reads them.
