People are really picky about Paranid designs. From the last thread, it seemed like every time someone tried to suggest a ship for them, there would be a chorus of "It's not Paranid enough" or "It looks Boron to me".

Paranid ships are all round, except when they're not.

They're sleek, except when they're chunky.

They've got curves and fins, unlike those other races...

aye i have seen that alot, Paranid ships r probably by far the most trickiest to create

I looked at the models at the first page and i almost INSTANTLY recognized some of the models, which were from other games i have played.

most of them were from a game i have called "Nexus: The Jupiter Incident" and one looked oddly similar to a ship from "Sins of a solar empire". I'd like to say he did a pretty darn good job at it too, he made them look so similar but made sure not to leave them exactly the same as in the other games. well done sir! *thumbs up*

Basically, give it curved surfaces and short, stubby fins, plus a blue paint job, and you can call it Paranid.

Hi cadius. I want to say i love your ship and station pack. But im having a slight problem. I bought the terran HQ and shipyard and tried to add blueprints to them. But i couldnt. Is there anyway I can? Because i would love to use the Terran shipyard as my.. well shipyard :P

i dont think they can use blue prints, the shipyard is mainly just cap ship docking

Darn that sucks if its true. I wanted to use the Terran HQ as a substitute for the Star Trek Starbase i couldn't get working

You can add blueprints using Cycrows cheat package.

blueprints add to the last HQ you built, so the only way to get the blueprints into the previous one is to cheat the ship in and reverswe engineer it at that particular dock...

Let me rephrase this. I bought Cadius's Terran HQ. It was the only HQ i had. I used cycrow's cheat script to try and add blueprints to it. But they wouldnt show up. Anything I can do?

I'd also confirm the Terran purchased HQ doesn't have recycling, reverse engineering, or production. Spray shop does show up however. Spawning a vanilla headquarters and deploying it works as it should. I love the model for the terran HQ.

I'm also having issues with the teladi shipyards, IS or OOS my capital ships can't dock with them. Their action lists either avoiding ***Undefined*** or idling while floating around the station randomly. I cannot forcibly dock them using cycrow's cheat menu either. Cloning the station once with Marcon's clone script didn't seem to fix but the 2nd time did. Bad luck on my part I guess.

The new design for the Mobile Mining ship is interesting, but the cargo hold on the front blocks the view from the cockpit as well as the front turrets. This makes it a bit tricky to fly first person as I can't easily see smaller things in front of me. I'm not sure how or I'd move the view for the cockpit up, and the turrets out to the front of the cargo box.

edit: I deployed both headquarters from a TL, the terran one was purchased from mars legit.

I don't have issues with the Terran HQ..
It takes longer to RE a ship than the regular HQ..
You think a hero is some weird sandwitch and not a guy attacking a Xeno J with a kestrel.

Sir.. I said .. A guy attacking a J with a kestrel is the sandwitch.

Thats weird. I wish i knew how to make it work. Cause like UnexplainedBeeping all i got was the spray shop. On both the Terran Orbital Shipyard and HQ

do you have an HQ mod in there as well, by the sounds of it you have an HQ file overwriting the in this mod, examples would be like one of the mods that increase the storage in the HQ...

its overwiriting the xtra one, thats why you are having all the problems, remove it the clone you hq in game and it will work...

I feel stupid, but after reading Garry34's I checked again for any leftover hq.xml. Removing it fixed my problem it seems.

Didn't even hit me at first to check, as the vanilla HQ was working :oops: but if you do need storage increase, X-tra had one built in up to 40 million.

simple enough to increase if you have the editor, if you open up the xtra cat with the mod manager in the editor then navigate to to the hq file within, right click on it and open with the text editor, then just change the big number to whatever you want...
