Finally getting to see the alien races face to face?

Finally getting to see the alien races face to face?
So, if there's now going to be in ship interaction with crew members in the game, that makes me wonder (and hope), do we finally get to see all those alien races in person, not just the same communication portraits that have been around since X:BTF

Well, it won't be a game killer for me, that's for sure. I hope they can bring in some variety, but I am also aware, that this is still a space sim game.
Guess, we can't expect a pool of 100 distinct faces, 100 distinct heights and 100 distinct uniforms per race which are assambled randomly by the computer. (Although I surely would not complain). I am no programmer, but I assume to create a lot of variety for the NPCs one might even need a new engine? At least a lot of programming time which would be missing for other more important aspects of the game

Found that old article.
I could never reconcile the Paranids' physical appearance and description in X3 with the pictures in that newsletter. I still have no idea what they're really supposed to look like.

Well, it's more that in X2 and X3 I remember the Paranid being described as physically large and bulky, and the comm portraits portrayed them with tubey anteater-like mouths. I sort of imagined them as three-eyed Shreks in space.
But then the newsletter picture shows some sort of Protoss/Alien/insect-like thing with spindly necks; the only commonality between the two designs is the three eyes. There must have been some crazy changes going on in Egosoft's concept art department over the years.
