This script sets the player notoriety with pirates to -500 and all pirate stations/ships relation to neutral allowing the player to 'side' with the pirates, if you are already part way into the game you will keep the progress you've already made with the pirates notoriety as it actually adds 999500 points to whatever your notoriety currently is (it will only do that once so don't bother trying to run & rerun the script !).
You will gain notoriety by helping either pirate ships or stations that are being attacked
If you want to play as a pirate or with the pirates as allies then this script is for you.
Simply download and extract, there is a readme.txt and a self extracting .exe. Run the .exe and point it to your ..\X2 - The Threat\ folder

To uninstall simply change the PLAYERSHIP relation for Pirates to FOE and the script will terminate. Save your game and then delete the three files in the scripts folder: friendly pirates.xml friendly.pirates.rewards.xml setup.friendly.pirates.xml - job done !
PLEASE NOTE: You will still see red pirates in your game, these are generated by the invasion script and due to a broken script command in X2 they cannot be controlled by the SE
Compatibility
Pirate notoriety & relation to player properties is changed once on initial run.
No command slots or wares are used.
Script should be compatible with all current and future scripts
History
v1.01 - script can now be re-enabled after termination by setting playership relation to pirates back to friend (assuming you didn't delete the scripts or have reinstalled them). Also script will now auto-check for updates. Also tidied up some code.
