You can just install x3 AP instead of X3 FL if you select X3 FL it will install allHavocRazr30 wrote: ↑Wed, 31. I don't see how using the nosteam.exe is going to help xrm actually work.

Sadly, it has been years since XRM received updates/support.
I would suggest to try your luck with LxXRM - viewtopic.php?f=94&t=399184&hilit=lxxrm
Much better chance of the whole thing working, as it has been worked on more recently. Note - I have not tried it since the release of X3 FL, so could be it is also broken.

There actually is a patch for XRM to work with FL: viewtopic.php?f=201&t=439763

Has anyone been able to install XRM mod successfully after last patch? I downloaded Non steam patch and installed all files to AP folder and changed files names as fake patch. Last time I did this was long time ago (over 10 years I think lol). So i might be doing something wrong .But for some reason game starts as vanilla AP. Anyone have any idea what is going on ?
It's not world hunger because we can't feed poor,it's because there will never be enough to feed the rich .....

I still have X3TC with the XRM mod and I think the xTra ship pack and the resurrection mod running.
But installed it years ago.

I just wanna say that as today (04.07.2024) i installed Xrm and it works without any issuess. So if someone wanna play it just go ahead. What i did, i first copied Whole folder of x3 tc/ap/fl steam instalation with every dlc to another place , then overwrite lanchers of both Ap and Fl with non steam exe from egosoft and then proceed to install xrm mod as in the instructions and everything works great. So if you wanna play xrm don't be scared as almost i did and try to install the mod , with correct installation everything still works in 2024

I recently installed x2 again.
It brought me to the universe 20 years ago.
Back then I wasn't aware of mods.
Found the top gun mod and really enjoy it right now.
The best time in the game is when you have almost nothing and have to work your way up.
In x2 this seems quite a bit harder then in the more recent x titles.

Umm, if somebody could shoot me a version 3.3 x3ap no steam in PMs, I'd appreciate it. I've been trying to download it from Egosoft, but having login issues. When I click over to the main site, I'm logged out for some reason and can't figure out how to fix it.

Same.
2025-10-12 Installed GOG X3 Terran War Pack, which includes X3TC/AP/FL.
Deleted X3FL.exe
Deleted Addons2 folder (just to prevent me putting things in the wrong place, Addons2 is all the FL stuff and not needed for AP)
Then just followed Pauls instructions to the letter for AP in the first few posts. Skipped PSCO Cockpits (dont like the look of some of them), and used the Low option for hulls.
Everything works fine.
I also installed Smart Turrets (for AP) viewtopic.php?t=304686
And OK Traders viewtopic.php?t=336509
Started the games "Tormented Teladi" game start to get the Enhanced Kea, really wish they would put this ship in X4
Wish Paul Wheelers dedicated site still worked.

I can't download the mod. And I can't find it anywhere else.
The links look dead.
It's sad, this mod is a must-have.
When I try to download it, it redirects me to the OneDrive connection. Even when I log in, it's an access denied message.

Looks like the end of an era.
I just tried (as I know it was working 11 days ago), and your right. The links to OneDrive have been changed by Microsoft to force you to login, and even when you do login the files access are denied.
The other options I think used to be on Pauls own site, but that died a while ago.
I would offer to help by uploading the files I chose, but then you wouldn't have all the different hull/cockpit options, I am not too keen on using up my own storage space, and I dont have permission from the author who has been inactive here since 2017. Sorry

Not really, thats not XRM anymore, loads of subjective inclusions some of us would not want, and there is no longer any modularity for instance where are the Hull Packs, or the PSCO Cockpit options, linux patch for part 3, no war pack. Its another persons idea of a compilation. Does it also still need the Plugin Manager?
