hail, ye olde (scripting) dinosaurs!

I'm looking for some info on 'engineversion' values for previous games, and I imagine a lot of people know them for terran conflict and very few people remember them for the threat -- are there any old-school scripters here who can help me out?

Specifically i'm looking for the precise value of the 'engineversion' for each major version of the game. (which from the egosoft homepage is at least 1.2, 1.3, 1.4 and 1.5)

Seeing as this forum isn't very active anymore, you might try PMing some of the old scripters. IIRC Cycrow did some work in X2, I'm not sure whether or not Shadowtek's still around, and I can't think of anymore right off hand. That'd probably be your best bet though.

you mean the script engine, right?
basicly you can do this: Install the lowest Version of the game, create a more or less empty script and save it. The Engine version is noted in the script (you can open it with any editor or internet explorer. Then you update the game and redo the same thing.

actually you dont really need all the engine versions, as the script engine was available in the earlier patches.

cant remember which patch opened it up, but i think it was something like 1.2 or 1.3.
but it wasn't really used until 1.4 was out

i cant remember the engine versions used, its been so long since i even looked at X2 now.

afaik, there was no script engine change between 1.4 and 1.5, so they are most likly the same still

correct. since 1.4 it's 25. (duno the earlier versions, I started with 1.4 :P )
