I hope you enjoy!
(BTW feedback would be nice :D)

The last moments

[17.5.2354 4:51 AM]:
He was watching the small screen. He never knew that nebulas were so beautiful. The huge dust clouds loomed over him.
Looking at the radar, he saw the red blip get closer. He opened the viewing deck and walked into the room. It looked even better when he could see it for real. He checked the radar. 294.53 km’s from firing range. The man got the camera out and took a photo of the nebula. He opened NebulaNetwork and attached the photo to the message. It read “Goodbye. I love you.” He tried comming the HQ. Too far away. The man sighed. He ordered the ship to launch everything when it got within firing range.

[17.5.2354 5:28 AM]:
1 km from firing range.
900 meters.
700 meters.
400 meters.
200 meters.
The missiles in the bays launched, and the man smiled as he saw the trails spiral towards the other vessel. A few small explosions in the distance. That’s weird. The missiles disappeared off the radar. Two beams of pure energy smashed straight into the ship. The window cracked. He clenched his eyes as the vacuum ripped him straight out through the window, and into the cold vacuum of space.

[19.5.2354 9:53 PM]:
I saw the commander on my right. His ship was huge. Carrier class. We’d been called in to investigate some weird sights of a large Frigate class ship. The commander commed us.

“I’ve got a destroyed ship on my scanners. It’s through the next gate. Everyone, dock at the Leviathan and prepare for jump.”

KYK5T-064 boarded the colossal giant, then KYK5T-065, then me, KYK5T-066. I brought up the screen of the deck camera, and watched as the Leviathan made its way towards the Atomic level transporter.

[19.5.2354 10:12 PM]:
I could hear the hum of scanners identifying everything on board. The trick is to not have any really good thoughts right before jumping, because you won’t remember it on the other side.

[19.5.2354 11:24 PM]:
The ship disintegrated, just like that. Technically, we didn’t exist anymore. All they had left of us was an atomic map of everything that just existed. All of that information was sent to another one of the gates, and there it collected all the particles needed to remake the object. There were some issues with this though. The early models were easy to hack in to, and they ended up being linked to dangerous areas, or to nowhere at all, leaving you stranded. There was an incident which killed thousands of people. Someone hacked into it, and completely manipulated the information as it was sent over, making horrible mixtures of person and ship, morphing them together.

[20.5.2354 2:29 AM]:
I thought “I think, therefore I am”. It feels really weird dying, and then basically waking up again. You always have a massive headache after going through the gates. The Leviathan got about 150km’s away from the gate, and then we undocked. The commander commed us, and told us all the details.

“When we approach the ship, I want you to go into a Delta formation, and scan for any hostiles. I will send a camera drone to search the ship. If any hostiles appear on you radars, scan it and identify all goods aboard.”

We scattered into delta-form, as the C-Man closed in on the debris.

[20.5.2354 3:01 AM]:
There it was. A small blue blip on the radar. I commed the group and told them.

“Hey, guys, we got company!” I said through the microphone, “Zoom camera image and relay pictures to the Leviathan.”
“Aye, sir.” They replied.

[20.5.2354 3:27 AM]:
The large vessel was now easily visible in the distance. It moved directly towards the C-Man. I tried scanning it. Nothing. I couldn’t target it. Neither could the rest of the team. ‘Hmm,’ I thought, ‘maybe I could try a search for energy traces…’ I opened up the scanner and started it. It slowly produced a 3D image of the ship, showing bright red dots where there were little to no energy traces, to large red dots showing massive amounts of energy being used. When the image finished I began analysing it. The image that was produced was incredible. It had energy traces all over it, mainly concentrated on the engines, and the front of it. I compared the normal image to the analysed one, it my face sunk.

“I hope you've finished scanning, sir. I suggest we leave now.” I said to the captain.
“What? But why? Send the images you scanned to me!” He replied.
“They’re being uploaded right now, sir.”

[20.5.2354 3: 49 AM]:
“The energy traces shown here are at least ten times more concentrated then ours are! No one has this kind of technology yet! If what you’re showing me is true, then that must mean the weapons on that thing are massive! They would destroy us in seconds, even with a Shield-Barrier up!” The C-Man said through the speakers.

“What if they aren’t us..?” KYK5T-065 piped up.

“Then we’re going to have to be leaving very soon.”

[20.5.2354 4:22 AM]:
“I’ve finished scanning the ship,” the captain said, “It’s weird, it’s covered in some kind of black substance… possibly carbon, the viewing deck windows been smashed as well. No sign of the pilot anywhere though.”

“It sounds like it could’ve burned…,” I replied, “but fire wouldn’t exist that long in space…”

It suddenly sounded like a jet planes engines exploded. There was screaming over the intercom.

“KYK5T-064!!! Commander, what the hell just happened?!”

“I have no idea, but I’ve lost all comms to KYK5T-064…”

I opened the viewing deck and walked along the path to it. The ship was incredible. It was massive as well. Possible a Frigate class. That instant I saw several smoky trails leave the missile tubes on the leviathan. Great! They were spiralling towards the colossal beast when the missiles disappeared, the trails just stopped.

“Where the hell did those missiles go?!” The C-Man yelled into to intercom.

“Probably shot down sir.” The combat officer replied.

“Dammit!” The captain slammed his fist down on the control panel,

“Well, there’s only one option left. Set defences and prepare for boarding.”

“But sir! We don’t know anything about… it. It could be so much more powerful then we’re seeing now!” The combat officer replied.

[20.5.2354 4:38 AM]:
The marines began to get into their squads, and entered the boarding pods.
“Alpha Squad ready, sir.”

“Beta Squad ready.”

“Gamma Squad is ready to go.”

“Epsilon Squad is good to go.”
KYK5T-066 watched as several small trails left the side of the Leviathan.

[20.5.2354 4:49 AM]:
“Alpha squad is cutting through now, sir.”

A few small sparks of light lit up on the side of the ship. It didn’t move. Almost like it was waiting.

“Sir, there’s nothing here! Just a few cables and metal slates! No walkways, no paths, no nothing! What the hell is this thing!?” One of the boarding crew said, “Wait, something’s happening… it’s getting hotter! Shit!

"What the hell is going on?!”

A bright orange blur appeared at the front of the craft, and the space around it seemed to bend.

“Wait, what’s happening now? Wait, wha—AAAARRRGHHHHH!” The comm. phased out with static.
A huge beam of light seemed to be trying to escape the ship. It then let go, and all hell broke loose.

[20.5.2354 9:36 AM]:
There was a bright light, I winced. It slowly died down, and I tried to get a look of my surroundings. There was debree everywhere. I tried moving my arms, it hurt like hell. I looked down and saw a large pole sticking through my right leg. There was blood all over the bottom of the pod. I tried comming the base. Nothing to lock onto it said. I moved my head to the side, and looked at the oxygen levels. Only about an hour left. I turned my head back out the window. There was a huge nebula there. Oh well, at least the view is nice.

The End

I'll also upload a pretty messed up story I wrote if anyone wants to read it :D

Edit: Fixed view perspective in first and second entries
Edit 2: Re-formatted for easier reading (I'll finish this later)

Haha, thanks guys :D

Should I upload the other story? It has nothing to do with space, and it's kind or gory at some parts, so I'm actually wondering if I should upload it...
