Mod request xD
i understand that the modding for x2 is dead but if someone could make one last mod i would be very grateful the mod i would like is to be able to go into a random sector and find derelict ships so like in a asteroid field there will be a derelict ship just floating around but there will be a lot of derelict ships dotted all over the place for people to find and its random where they will spawn so if someone could make this mod for me and anyone else i will be very considerate
Thanx for your time

If your question is:
Are there abandoned ships in vanilla X2, that one could claim?
Then the proper place to ask would have been the X-Universe Forum, which is for the vanilla gameplay discussion (even for X2).
The vanilla answer is: No.
Remember that one does not claim ships in X2. When a ship's "pilot bails", the ship is immediately yours. There is no "claim" function; that was introduced in X3R.
The scripts naturally allow changing the ownership of any ship. Therefore, it would be possible to spawn ships without orders and provide a "Be mine!" command. Such command has probably been written for X2.
That leaves spawning idle ships to random locations. That ought to be a trivial script.
I've merged your two related threads and edited the title.
