Administrator issues/and installer problems

I am set up as the system administrator and i am still getting the same message of needing to be the administrator when i run this the first time, what now??


When I install the game it goes all the way through the installation and after I hit the finish key the ivstallation wizard seems to get stuck and it won't exit out of the installation, the setup tab is in the taskbar and if you click on it then it will dissapear into the center of the screen and if you click it again it zips to the taskbar, is this an Operating systems issue or is this game just gonna tank on my computer??

I assume you mean windows Xp Sp3. Ok then. Well the hardware looks OK.

I'm thinking there are a couple of things that might be wrong. One is that you installed the game under a different user and didn't install for all users. Secondly, sometimes even if you are an admin you need to open the shortcut properties and check 'run as administrator'.

Otherwise I'm not sure

tHIS IS STILL WITH X3 TERRAN CONFLICT, i right click on the shortcut and go to compatibility and it does not show anyway to run as administrator, any ides what to do, and is their a phone # to tech support if I can't fix this?

If your the administrator and its asking for admin privilidges the first time you try to run it when its been installed, that is it probably trying to install the TAGES Drivers. If you dont select YES then they wont install and the game wont run, and it will keep going through the same cycle.

TC doesn't use starforce it uses tages

You don't need to be an admin to run this game, I run my game quite happily from a non-admin account. HOWEVER, I installed mine from an admin account - not the same one that I use when playing.

Sooooo.... At a guess... Perhaps you need to uninstall it, then reinstall while logged on as an admin?

On XP, if it's saying you're not logged in as administrator, then it's likely that whatever you previously thought, you are actually not logged on as an administrator. As already mentioned, the game requires admin access to install the TAGES drivers, after which time the game will run happily with no admin access required.

Oh, and please ease off on CAPS USAGE - it's considered to be shouting, which is a breach of net etiquette.

In order for the game to load you must turn off the firewalls and make sure you are compatible with your game, so make sure you set it to win 2000 and it should work!!!

I had to disable the firewall in order to install the tages drivers, but now It won't run if I turn on the firewall, how do I play the game and protect my pc at the same time?
