Ok I redid some calculation using Online complex constructor and found that a crystals free spp with a 150% yield (the more common) produce 1,7724759150920672903774337913687 times more ecell than a normal spp loop.
Considering that you need exactly (and theoretically) :
1 boron spp
5,660377358490565 crystals fab
1 silicon mine L yield 57
2,264150943396226 bio gas fact L
2,264150943396226 bofu lab L
12,188679245283017 Construction kit
The total cost is (using athelred numbers) 45058352,452830183907828 credits.
45058352,452830183907828 X 1,7724759150920672903774337913687 - 17607360 = 62257484,496371074980849182624283 credits.
And I'm using only L sized food factory.

Hi all. I used to use Ashleys XXL factory`s, an excellent script. It`s not available for TC yet but i stumbled on this. Great script and stops those giant complexes i plan to build from lagging up my game to much
Anyway, i`ve just installed it and when i go into game and check on my existing XL SPP in Antigone Memorial, i go to the command option and see the option to switch over to Laz Corp crystal Free, but it`s blacked out. And yes i do have 5 mil in my account ?? Any tips would be appreciated

@Pewpew
What are you talking about??
i am now ignoring your numbers
EDIT: is it just me or am i missing somthing with pewpews numbers.
All i see it one hell of alot of random numbers with not meaning
When i run those stupidly massive numbers in the calculator, i got different numbers from you

@ corhen : You don't need to to write the full number you can just use two digit after the comma (which is the decimal separator from where I'm from just so we're clear about that). That gives you :
1 boron SPP XL
5,67 crystals fab
1 silicon mine yield 57
2,27 bio gas fact L
2,27 bofu lab L
11,19 construction kit (I forgot that the first kit count double in my previous calculations)
I'll let you do the math.
1.77 x (Cost of SPP + Cost of other stations) - Cost of SPP
@ russbo : altherred should have included the price of the SPP when he multiplied by 1,75 and remove it only after. It's been pointed out by BillSheil already.

Hmm Did you try running the command after you added the solar power plant to your complex?

ALWAYS do the command BEFORE you add it to a complex, else your screwed.
Changing the cost should be rather easy, just go into the file (dunno the name offhand), and edit the 5m or whatever it is to 30m or whatever you want.
Also, some suggestions have been flying around as to check for size too, and make it so that a bigger ssp takes more money... taht shouldnt be too hard as well.

Seems fine all untill i use it.
What other scripts are you running? possibly there is a conflict.
as far as the set price changing for the different size spp's thats comming. I am almost done the mod to the script.

Saw this elsewhere, so decided to chime in.
I see multiple issues there:DEADBEEF. wrote:The 5M to remove the need for SPP support fabs is a little bit too much like a cheat for my liking.
Crunching the numbers gives the actual cost of support fabs as around 20M plus half the created ECs for an XL SPP.
Each to their own though I guess.
- Setting up the self-support requires work and threatens frame-rate (and the gerbils). Paying to get it all done seems reasonable. Or easier complex construction interface.
- The price for the self-support loop, and then some for the convenience. There is no competition when one solution is both easier and cheaper.
- One could perhaps make the SPP pay for the Crystals, even if it does not use any; to make the ECells anything but "free". Another "fair" sounding trade-off.
- If you do not build the loop, you probably prefer not to see it either. Frame rate and gerbil collisions. So invisibility is justifiable. (But one could argue that there is no point to stop there rather than simply add credits to the player account.)
- The self-support requires Silicon Asteroids. Their number and locations are predefined in the map. The only limited natural resource. A need for Think when you Build. "Crystal Free SPP" implies creation of virtual Asteroids. If the script would remove as many Silicon Asteroids as would be needed in the self-support loop, then it would be closer to "equivalent". But as it is, one can build 1000 SPP XL in every sector, because credits are quite cheap.
- Different activation cost for M, L, XL, and XXL, since their support loops do have different total cost. And premium fee on top of that. (But that you do work on already.)
- Remove Silicon Asteroids on activation. Yields must be "sufficient". For more stringent, the Asteroids must be in the same sector as the SPP. This would mimic the regular build. And removal of Asteroids further improves the frame-rate.
- Instead of removing the need for Crystals, make a simple script that checks if the Crystal stock is below 5%, fills it to 10%, and deducts max (or at least over average) price from station account for the added Crystals. Such script could run on Complex too.

Yes, I think that hits it right on the head. Having used the previous iteration of this, I eventually found myself overwhelmingly rich. It basically destroyed the trading aspect of the game for me.jlehtone wrote: The main question is: Do you want free ECells, or the convenience of not building the vanilla way?
Not that I minded being overwhelmingly rich....
It did allow me to focus more on the combat and takeover aspects though.
