STEAM - would like an answer please

Ok.
Please don't flame me if this has been answered somewhere but I used the word "steam" in the search and got alot of hits and I read through most of them.

I'm a traditional gamer who likes to have their game safe on hardcopy and not reliant on a 3rd party software to run.

I bought TC through steam and I would really like it if I could run the game without steam even being installed on my computer.

Is this possible?

As shrikebtr said, afraid not. As with all games on Steam you need the Steam client running if you want to play a game.

You don't need to be on line if you tell Steam to save your login details however.
