Clarification Request - Please advise

Post by Arraamis »

I'm interested in purchasing X3:TC but the computer I need to install it on DOES NOT have internet capabilities. {Don't want to go into the details as to WHY}.

* Is there a way to DL X3TC to my internet computer and then install it onto my gaming computer, which does NOT have internet capabilities ????

Also, I'm a little confused by the FAQ #30 statement that "In North America the game will be exclusively available via the STEAM platform from VALVE"

* Does this mean that I cannot order the DVD and have it delivered to the USA {Which would eliminate the need to DL it from steam} ?????

Thanks for any clarification on the topics mentioned.

You can import the DVD or buy it from GoGamer (which did some importing themselves), yes. That's fine. But Steam is the only official distribution in the US.

It's not practical to play a Steam game on a computer with NO internet. Steam needs to be able to see the internet once in a while to work. Even a modem or crappy wifi connection would be enough.

From the information I can dig up, tages (the games copy protection) allows for both online and offline activation.

If you contact tages and explain the situation they should be able to give you more information as to how you can activate X³:TC.

Hope this helps
