It wasn't meant to be condescending. It's just that some people prefer the mystery, and others just have to know how things work. And they don't always understand the other's points of view. In real life, physics is my major interest, hence I like to learn how things work. However, in games, I prefer to keep the mechanics of it something a mystery as it helps me stay immersed in the game world. Once I know the underlying algorithms, I tend to move on, as it then becomes boring and mechanical. But as fiskal said, it's just personal preference. For me it spoils the game, and apparently, you find that hard to understand. Not condescension, just observation.Carlo the Curious wrote:Please don't be condescending. But I still believe this whole thread should be considered a spoiler. And I'm just a little surprised that Egosoft has let this thread discuss what is obviously decompiled, proprietary code. Most companies would take legal action against those that publish their code on the web.
