X2 Cheat Pack

Hi,

I played X2 when it came out and got quite far. I'm trying to get through most of the game again reasonably honestly so I can complete it. I've patched the game up to 1.5 with the script update thingymabob.

I seem to have run into a rather odd issue once I put these script files into my game. This is the only set of scripts I've installed.
I can start a new game and load the 1.0 save file that comes on the disc fine.
I can't however load a save where the script editor has been enabled or one where these scripts are enabled.
If I remove the files I can load a save that has the SE enabled without any problems.

If I try to load a save in a state where it'd fail I get the first loading screen image and the game freezes at that point.

Any ideas why this would be happening?
I'm running XP64 if that'd make any difference.

I've not run into any problems using the scripts in a new game, they seem great, specially being able to make the ships fly at ridiculous speeds

not sure, nobody else gets this so it's puzzling, try re-installing the cheats package again you never know

I tried a clean install of the game and still no joy
It is most odd, i'll continue to twiddle and see where I end up

from the bits I've played and in X3 I must say this is a brilliant pack

Very nice, although there is one problem with spawn fodder script..

I decided to spawn a khaak cluster for the amount of noteriety you get, this was a bad idea instead of being harmless they were all fully armed and completely owned my argon colossus lucky i saved a few minutes before..

i dunno weather or not this was a glitch with the script but be aware that theres no such thing as a harmless khaak lol. im sticking to zenon m's

I got that too only it was a colossus two titans and 6 centaurs all fully upgraded etc, if it hadnt of been so funny I would have broken down. Another time I had a whole cluster of 100 or more spawn right infront of my titan none were armed but the constant colisions from the spawns destroyed the thing also the lag meant I couldnt do anything about it just sit and watch ships spawn inside my (at the time) pride and joy!

Edit: will this clash with any of the signed scripts, some looked interesting but this is more usefull wanna know what i can and can't have I have no exprience in game codes and very little in code in general as i only know basic HTML and ruby what use they are.

Anyways, I am stilling playing X2 and have been trying to save money in the game to buy a ship that i want. It costs $455 mil and i seem to have been saving for years (literally). I am only up to $377 mil

Is there a quicker way? I have a fleet of traders and they are good.

I just want to tour around the Universe a bit in my Split Dragon with all default components. I've made a jump in a transport ship, what is going on?

I understand that I need energy cells to make the jumpdrive work. I have tried buying energy cells at stations and I've used LV's Cheats to spawn them into my cargo. I've even tried using the Add Energy and teleport cheat with no luck.

Despite everything my ship tells me I have insufficient energy??

How far are you trying to jump? Take a close look at the map that pops up. You should see highlighted sectors. These are the sectors you can reach with the available energy. Sectors that aren't highlighted can't be reached. If you choose a non-highlighted sector as target you get the 'insufficient energy' message.

How far are you trying to jump? if your trying to go from one end of the verse to the other no ship has the cargo space to do that in one jump... try a series of smaller jumps if you use jump drive (legit(sp) not the cheat) it should show a picture of the verse with some sectors in white and others in default colour you can only jump to one flashing white.
If you trying to jump within that boundry I have no idea whats wrong

Thank you for the quick reply! I gave your suggestion a try and still no joy. After a moment of inspiration however, I spawned another Split Dragon and enabled all the same scripts and self-destructed my old Split Dragon. This time it worked. It still makes no sense why it didn't work before, but no matter, I'm just stoked that I have a freakin' jumpdrive to revisit some sectors I've missed!

i am an old player, and i am getting tired of waiting for my money to grow up.

So i decided to donwload your cheat pack.

I instaled it as you said we should do.

but it doesn't work, so i read the topics, you talk about script editor. Fine, so i wrote Thereshallbewings while flying, but nothing happened.

what am i supposed to do to make it work?

is it because im playing with the french version of the game? is it because im playing with the 1.5?

did you type "(Shift+T)hereshallbewings" no quotes? As far as I'm aware language shouldn't affect it then again I'm playing the English version.

The 'll' is particularly difficult; type slowly or the game won't notice both of them.

X2 : The threat (steam version) does not accept Thereshallbewings as player name. When I press enter the name changes to it. Is there another way to activate SE?

You dont type it in at the playername that was only incorporated in X3:R and TC. In X2 you can type it anywhere, just make sure its not in a nebula or battle where your system is going to run slowly. It can sometimes take several times due to lag or something such as that.
