Something hinky going on with silicon mines aswell...

Product for sale/hour is alot higher than it should be but energy usage is the same.

Compare picture coming right up....

Simple check to ensure which one is wrong...
124713,84 Energy used/hour
24 Energy/silicon
=5196,41 silicon/hour

All races Crystall Fab M silicon usage rate is 2x what it should be, production and other resources are correct.

Boron SPP XL price wrong, correct price is 17 607 360 (now 22 009 200)
Boron Bio Gas factory L price wrong, correct is 561 528 (now 561 590)
Boron Bofu Chemical Lab L price wrong, correct is 2 024 976 (now 2 024 980)

Edit:

Seems that mines work and dont work right at the same time :?

Small ammount of silicon mines (6 in total) are calculated spot on, no errors.
large ammount of silicon mines (37 in total) are off about 1/3.

Ore mines are also going slightly wrong, if you set size to 4 production rates are almost spot on but energy usage is too low but when you set size to 5 production is too high but energy usage is correct.

@Geggo
The mine issue is fixed in the version i just uploaded (read on). Was me forgetting to fully copy the mine formula's ;). So basically what happened is that it took the data from the raw data sheet, being calculated from 25 yield factories. Except the few which had the correct formula.

I spotted that the Crystal Fab M did indeed use too much silicon wafers. The other resources seemed fine. I have yet to do a full relval check of all X3TC data.

The wrong price data is partly intended, partly lack of data. See the deal is, it calculates all the data from S sized factories, including prices. an S sized SPP (calculated by taking the M sized divided by 2) costs about 2.2 mil. According to the formula 2.2mil x 10 (XL sized) thats 2.2 mil.
S sized factories are usually (at least in vanialla always) pound for pound more expensive than M, L and XL sized factories. Thus at the end its good for the player using it :).
It was either this. Or having every mod maker ask me if i can add their mod :) because omg its using other sized factories!! ;)

Anyway, I came to this topic to announce Beta 2:

there's something i don't understand.
In X3R i used your spreadsheet and i only needed to imput the factory i wanted producing the product and it would calculate everything and tell me wich factories to buy to make a self-sustained complex. Now in X3TC it calculates but doesn't make a self-sustained complex. There are still some resources i need to freight in.

For example, if i want to produce a self-sustained Space Fuel Distillery XL, i need the following, according to the calculation:

Argon Space Fuel Distillery XL 1 9.999.900 9.999.900
Argon Solar Power Plant M 1 150 4.895.260 4.895.260
Argon Cahoona Bakery M 1 874.980 874.980
Argon Cattle Ranch M 1 275.016 275.016
Argon Crystal Fab M 1 3.129.332 3.129.332

This complex has this products/resources calculated:

Argnu Beef X3TC 4.000 100,00% Intermediate
Crystals X3TC 1.328 100,00% Intermediate
Meatsteak Cahoonas X3TC 13.328 100,00% Intermediate
Energy Cells X3TC 90.000 2.160,00 115,00% Intermediate
Space Fuel X3TC 3.320 750,00 Product
Silicon Wafers X3TC 416 -75,00 0,00% Resource
Delexian Wheat X3TC 33.320 -6.000,00 0,00% Resource

As you see, it's not self-sufficient, i still need to provide silicon wafers and delexian wheat.
Am i missing a step? I really want a self-sustained complex, like the ones i had back in X3R!!

Thanks.

But it is so easy to see from your output that Wheat XL (is there really SF XL in the game, or is that from a mod?) and Silicon L on yield 10 or better should be quite right. Add those and see how the numbers change. Rinse and repeat. You do not have to rely on computers on everything.

I have a excel viewer. And that means I can only look at and not realy use all these damn exel utilities :(

If I could use the asteroid one, does or can it also display rock formations? or just official asteroids?

The Complex one I suppose I could just do in y head ( ouch ) or use the non excel one for X3R as a guestimate. Any chance of a FactoryComplexCalculatorX3Installer_Full in a TC version?

LiveAus, sorry for the delay (I should really turn watch topic on).

It is intended to only add the solar power plant loop. The button isnt called "Make loop closed" for nothing. It should only add food, crystal and SPP. To add everything, its too hard to do since its hardcoded.
Besides, if it were up to me, i wouldnt have the button at all :).

/me turns on watch this topic for replies...

Does anyone have a link to the Complex Calculator? All links seem to be dead.

This is only a temporarily problem with the host (at least thats what i assume).
There are more stuff from the university offline. For example i cant access my mailbox there ;).

Hope it will be fixed shortly :).

I've found an error in the Yield Calculator sheet. The calculations for Silicon Yield are based on the Size input for Ore instead. The hidden E4 cell is referencing B3 where it should be B4.

Also, the cost of Complex Construction Kits aren't calculated. The formula for Total Costs Complex is trying to add the cost of all stations and complex kits, but the cost field for complex kits (R79) is empty.

Another error I found is that all entries of "Massom powder" in both 'Price Data' and 'Raw Data' sheets should be "Massom Powder" (note the capitalization). If it's not capitalized the calculation will have 2 entries listed, one as Product and one as Resource. "Percent of needed resource" and "To Buy / Hour" will not calculate properly because of it.

Note: The calculation error only shows up when calculating for X3TC. You can reproduce this problem by adding:
1 Drone Factory
1 Massom Mill
1 Scruffin Farm
And when you calculate it you should see what I mean.

Also, just fixing the capitalization in 'Raw Data' seems enough, but you still might want to fix them all for consistancy's sake.

Hi!
Does any one know of a working link for the file?
I'm using the Linux version of X3 and cant run the stand alone program because its an .exe file, so the spreadsheets would be very helpful to me, I looked all over and the link posted doesn't work any more.
Thanks.

Hi, thanks for replaying.

Do you mean this link?
http://homepage.uvt.nl/~s108174/Complex ... 0beta2.rar

Because I always get a "The connection was reset" sort of error! :(
I bought the DVD, the Steam and the Linux versions of X3R,still I don't have a pretty icon under my name. :(

Still no luck! :(
I keep getting the connection reset stuff.

Is there any other way of getting the file?
Thanks.

Appears to be an issue on your end somewhere. Perhaps a browser problem/setting, or maybe something to do with your internet service provider. I just downloaded the file with no problems.
Have a great idea for the current or a future game? You can post it in the [L3+] Ideas forum.

X4 is a journey, not a destination. Have fun on your travels.
