I also think that LT's should be sold in Equipment Docks and not Trading Stations because they *are* weapons. I have a ship full of LT's but I don't think that I can sell them in docks like I do shields or missiles.

It would also be nice to have them mounted on TP's as a defensive weapon, TP's with 25MJ shields are nearly useless at the moment, you just don't have time to jump in and defend them.

Can not get script to work

Hi,

I have installed the script files into correct folders, enabled script editor in the game, actually can see your script through the script editor but when I open up the special command there is no laser tower upgrade option?
I have six deployed and am sitting about 3km from them.

This is the only script I have installed so I can't see it as a resource issue.
I have the latest game patch as well

any ideas???

I'd like to see 250 MJ of shields, Fight Command Software Mk1 + Mk2, (Installable with transporter would be good), and possibly additional weapons compatability. Perhaps a few other options..

2.0.02 comes with 125's already or I'd pick up the patch. The towers get destroyed far to easily even with them though so I don't use them. Throwing away 150000 Cr. everytime I turn around just seems unproductive; the only thing they can take out is M5's, something which usually takes about a minute and a half even when the beams full targeted on them cause they're stupid enough to try to fly into it. It's more of a push that it applies than damage I think.

I actually flew into a ring of seven of them around a pirate base with 250MJ of shielding, got targeted and attacked by all of them at once and took all of them down without really moving. I don't think I even lost 3% of my shields in the entire battle.

the fight command software would have no effect on the laser tower, making it pointless to add.

the other suggestions are not possible via scripts

Lasertowers are quite effective against larger ships, but when do you ever get your stations attacked by larger ships?

Too bad, I was hoping it actually had some effect on their targeting capability; suppose that's why all the other ships I've set on attack have alway's turned out to be no more than cannon fodder quickly destroyed :lol:
