fixed the problem. Just uninstalled the old script from the plugin manager. Then restarted the game and no rrf. Then installed 1.7. Found out some interesting things about RRF last night.

I was wondering why only goner rangers were attacking the Kha'ak destroyers. The reason I think was that I was completely out of big ships. How did I find that out? Well....I used the LV cheats to add a crapload of capital ships for my beleagured argon friends. (after going on a Kha'ak destroyer killing spree with the 7,6 (general/destroy) command. So far I have killed about 80+ Kha'ak destroyers in argon space. Anyway, the "new" argon fleet has been rebuilt (with some xenon lx's, split pythons, teladi phoenix, every big ass ship) for support. Now, when xenons show up I see some crazy new ships warping in to assist.

I am understanding now about what the race response fleet strength number means. (like say...30% for argon...they are almost out of response ships).

A question remains though. Was it because I selected "balanced" that I probably have about 400 Kha'ak destroyers roming the x universe? If I turn it down to lowest setting will the ships go away or do I need to keep flying around and cleaning house with the 7/6 command (general/destroy item)?

Otherwise, a cool script.

Just make a new restart (with XTM) Found two (2) argon one's in Argon Prime :? Can that be related to RRF?

I have two argon one's in argon prime. Thought one was a backup in case the first one crashed. :)

I've added a ton more friendly ships last night to build up the RRF of each race. Each RRF now has a fleet strength of about 300%. I'm wondering if there is a way to tone down the amount of Kha'ak destroyers though. Are these ships being generated by RRF, by XTM or by the vanilla game? If I turn RRF to its' lowest setting I'm wondering if the Kha'ak will stop generating al those ships!

Well I think it's have to do with XTM. I allso use Litcubes Khaak Xenon Invasions.... and xenon migration.... so I have a lot of fun..... 8) But let the boys have some fun  the "Galactic Corp" get in and clean up  and if the sector is vital for the GC then we only happy for the help in the Liberation of the system 8)

I looked through this thread and found out why I was getting so many Kha'ak destroyers. LV put up .7a which stops the Kha'ak destroyer spamming. I was running .7. So freakin funny. I was running this plugin that would beep whenever a ship was destroyed. As soon as I installed .7a I heard beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep (like 500 times). All the Kha'ak D's must have been obliterated when I ran the script. Hopefully, my universe will pick up speed now and stop the choppiness.

Is "enble race response skirmishes" the feature when it says, "hey, the split and borons are gonna fight in great reef. Which side do you want to join? answer: I don't want to join in on your petty bickering!"

Which feature do you enable just to have them invade each other's sectors on their own without your notice? I seem to recall playing a while back and saw a boron orca invade another race sector. All hell was breaking loose. Does anyone know if that's RRF or is it another script?

I think I'm going to download the xenon migration mod. I had it a long time ago but haven't used it lately. I really want one of those xenon motherships to replace my teladi osprey (although the vulture still kicks some serious hoo hoo against alot of m3 class pirate ships. I can usually waste about 6 of them in my osprey." Does this game rock or what?? :)

LV wrote:I have written a fix script but you will need to test as i don't know how the game tags A1 as in my load the pilot name was not Ban Danna

the script below will create another Argon One (english version only) and maybe fix but you will have to tell me

http://www.arcl07.dsl.pipex.com/x3scrip ... ne.one.xml

right click and save this file into your x3 scripts directory then run it manually via the SE once your game has loaded with r,enter, enter
Thank you for you effort but I already restarted the game. I am using the german version of your script now and this time everything was fine. It seems that you gave the right directions to SuperVegeta.

The only time RRF was interfering with the plot was the last mission where two paranid RRF destroyers wanted to kick my ass in Heretics End and were instead kicked by the argon fleet, including the other paranid ships which came to "help".

So far your script has brought me much more delight than pain. Thank you for this great work. 8)

Well it is not RRF that makes 2 argon one's  Now just have to find out if it is XTM or if it is some of yours or cycrow's scripts that make that extra A1 :?

I love RRF, I've been witness to some truly amazing battles :)

The only real difficulty I have had is with the final storyline mission, RRF causes some pretty nasty stuff to happen :
Spoiler
Show
Paranid RRF fleets jump in and just decimate the Argon forces in Heretic's end, and seem to ingore the Kha'ak, which makes it incredibly hard to continue with the story as they keep attacking me and everyone else in the sector...
I had to turn it off for that mission, but other than that I've loved it so far.

I fixed the 2 argone one problem. LV cheats. 7/6 (destroy) - there goes an argon one). Oh crap, no mammoth available to help me tow one of my fabs. 7/3 (create ship). Where are all the stevio stations? 7/ (add sats). Oh, there it is! :) Yeah, it's cheating but I prefer to think of it as making my game more enjoyable and fixing creeping problems. I did particular enjoy destroying (via LV cheat) that Split Python that I could not appease to make happy up at a Split core sector. :)

Hi I just installed this script on a game I've had for a while that needed spicing up. My standing with all of the races are pretty high. I'd like to start a war with the Split and draw the Argon into the battle on my side.

Does anyone have any suggestions as the the easiest way to accomplish this?

Also I initially set the difficulty to Balanced, should I choose to change this to Hostile, how would I go about doing this?

Thanks.

Hey, I have this script installed together with race response fleets.
As I am progressing through the game, I'm begining to wonder wether that even makes sense. Does anyone have some experience with the combination? Is it even possible to get and keep a sector, or will the response fleets just be to much even for a better fleet?

Hey Dasflow,

Did you look at the "sector takeover" script that's posted in this forum? I was thinking about that the other night as a way of taking over pirate sectors. :)

Ooops,

I really messed up my question there.
What I meant to say was that I have RRF and Sektor Takeover installed. I was wondering wether it is possible to take over and keep a sector or wether the response fleets will keep messing me up.

Crap. That sounds like a problem. I know there is an option within sector takeover to disable ships from trying to take their former sector. Did you make sure that option is shut off? Check the sector takeover thread to see where the toggle is. It might be under options/AL settings or it is a hotkey option which brings up the menu. I'd think that once the sector is yours RRF's would not come to it and it is the sector raiding parties that are trying to retake your sector.

Info: got XTM installed and RRF.

There was a large pirate fleet in Elena's fortune before I installed RRF.
I installed RRF and quickly jumped to Elena's Fortune to see the predicted battle, sure enough, huge Argon/Terran task force was already there wiping the floor with the pirates, (I have a Radion 3879x2 and a Intel Quad core OC'd to 3ghz so no lag here) but:

Quick question.
After the battle and the pirates were wiped out, the argon and terran set about killing each other and over about 10 minutes the Argon were completely wiped out (with losses to the Terrans ofcourse, m1 vs m1 etc)

Is this normal?
I set they to get along when I first installed the mod, will a single stray energy bolt trigger an inter sector war even if they're friends?

EDIT:
also, I forgot to mention the Terran fleet activly destroyed 3 argon stations in Elana's fortune, they just opened fire and blew them away. AND they killed mercury's (though that might be due to their back turrent and some type of Enemy/friend setting on the AI)

EDIT No 2:
I uninstalled the scipt, reloaded a previous save, installed the script again and went to Elena's fortune, Sure enough: I set the Argon/Terran option to "Let them fight" so, only Argon reinforcements appeared in Elana's fortune. Saving the galaxy a huge battle resulting in multiple innocent ship and station destruction in a normaly interesting sector.

Does it have to be this way?

I installed RRF for the first time in my ongoing XTM game.

I got my first fleet strength report after several hours of play tonight. Every race is at over 216%, up to 300% strength.

Is this normal? I've seen very little fighting over all and many sectors have a race response ship or two in it.
