GeminiFire, if you want to install the mod not only to admire the vistas in a casual way or to testing then is better you wait a little bit more.
A new restart its absolutely necessary, playing this mod without the xuniverse changes Its far worse than playing a clean vanilla game. A lot of oddities will appear.
I got some time to finish the mod and I want the project finished quickly. I'm checking and fine tuning all the universe to get the maximum level I can reach and a final version will be released soon, Im talking about one or two weeks if RL don't interfere.

I know there are certain scripting tools from Cycrow to recover your empire if you think its a excessive loss. Ask to the specialised people here.

In any case thanks to you and all the people for the nice words and the patience to test and wait for a final version.

P.D.: Hummm, Im deciding to include the rare grey version for the Paranid space to the next release of the mod. The clear tone offers better amplitude sensation, gets ride of the excessive distortion due the short radius of the cloud mesh (the tunnel effect), its clean and relaxing, MrWho will not get drunk, its different to the rest of the universe, isn't a evident sky texture...and so on.
Any one with a opinion against that its time to talk or face the grey consequences.

Definitely Im working in some surprises for the ''final'' version of the mod but Im a bit worried to make a bad step lore wise.

Some people don't like surprises, if you are one of them or don't care at all about be spoiled on the new mod details see the image below and give me some advice if this goes against the game lore or plot (I haven't played the game). Use the spoiler tool to hide your ideas, please.

Connary.... if it rocks (sorry for the pun), it rocks. And this is most deffinately in that category. I'm sure there's nothing in the lore to state that this item was never made, but no doubt the lore masters might know better. I'm sure the pedantics out there could always make another mod. to mod. out the bits of your mod they felt heretical... :paranid:

Does anyone know what the maximum permissible catalog number is??

Been flying around the Solar System a bit and it seems a bit strange.

I miss the small rings at Uranus from solar system update 1.1
I can suspend disbelief for the large orange star near Titan [and consider that Sol] and that is quite nice (but the smaller whiter star in Sol's original position then confuses me somewhat.

And it Seems that you have shrunk Jupiter. (Better than turning Sol into a Binary System ala 2010) and then no orange star at jupiter. just vanilla Sol
Can handle that the solar system isn't quite so bright as RC1.
Off to check some Commonwealth Sectors

OPS¡¡ It seems I don't saved some changes in the terran sectors on the mod. My mistake. Basically this sectors are standard black with only changes on sun illumination. With the exception of a sol orange halo for the mercury and venus sectors to add some variety and show the proximity of the star.
The halo must dont appear in titan or jupiter, saturn, etc......
Fixed now.

New Mercury texture (warning not the real thing XD, based in real images but don't follow the real proportions)

This looks really nice. I am just about to start a new game and i wanted to try this pack so i could get a new sense of exploration all over again, having seen all the vanilla sectors.

I see you mention a new version right around the corner but i am wanna start a new game very soon. So basically i am wondering how much new stuff is in the next version. Is it just a sector or two or am i going to miss out on or is there a lot of stuff you haven't added in the latest release. And any news on how far off the next release is?

If you can wait then wait a little more (one or two weeks but can be more, RL is pushing right now). If you want to play the game now then don't use the mod in his current version.
I forgot to finish the terran sectors in v1.0 and a lot of tweaks and added content will be included in the next one. The next release will be the final one; tweaked, corrected and finished.

Knowing that I will restart soon has made me reluctant to put too much time and effort into the game right now.

I tried a little I-War2, but cannot play that anymore (X3 spoiled).
I loaded V1.0 and am just sight-seeing and enjoying the eye candy until you release the Final.

Beautiful Work....

Looking forward to the Final. When I restart that one, I will start a long game and finally finish the Hub, ANH & PHQ.
I doubt that I will start X:R right away.

Thanx for the time you can spare from RL.

Ok cool enough, will just keep an eye on your progress. Need to figure out what kind of mods to put in my next game anyway, so will do some testing on my current game while i wait.

Ich hätte eine frage, gibt es eine möglichkeit diesen Mod als Uprade für eine Früher Version zu verwenden ?
Problem ist, ich hab eine Beta Version laufen in meinem Aktuellen Spiel, und würde nun gerne auf 1.0 Patchen wenn man so möchte,aber es steht ja in der Readme nur beim Neustart eines Spieles.
Vieleicht kann mir ja jemand einen Tip geben :)

Black_Bird, assuming that Google hasn't munged what you said, and I understand your problem correctly...

The releases are not meant to be layered one on top of the other as much, but not all, is duplicated between different versions. I'd suggest that you swap out the cat/dat you have the existing "Immersive Backgrounds" in for the new one. Altho' you will get all the new backgrounds, planet, images etc. you won't get all of connary's newer changes and there's a possibility of wierdness in some sectors. To get the full effect you'll have to start a new game. The only other alternative is the export facility to save your present assets or use some form of cheat script... Hope this helps.

In case you are not aware connary may be releaseing a newer version sometime soon (no pressure connary mate :roll: :D ) and so you may want to wait until then?

Optimized settings for Nvidia Cards??

Some time ago I ran across a thread discussing video card settings.
A couple of pages in, someone who appeared to be part of the graphics team at ES, gave a short post about settings and their appropriateness with the graphics used (to that point). Very Knowledgable, Very Informative...

I post this with questions about IE.. Since I will likely run this with X3 always, information about the finer points of graphic and cards would be helpful...

I noticed i had a lot of pauses in Herrons Nebula......

Anyone with advanced understanding of IE have some similar information about Nvidia settings most appropriate for connary's work?

It is a good mod but there is one thing I can't accept.

Every time I fly in terran sectors I say "should this be my solar system?". Even totally dark sky (plenty of stars) is beautiful and in our solar system I wouldn't expect anything else.

This doesn't mean at all I don't appreciate this MOD, I love it. For this reason please consider possibility to make a realistic solar system without special effects (But remember than "Milk Way" and Messier objects are magnificent and we have "Video Enhancement Goggles" to look deep in little objects.

Have you ever seen Milk Way in a very dark place? I think yes!

This is a common complaint about this mod. Evidently this mod doesn't work for people trying to get a realistic solar system. I don't have any interest to reach a new level of detail in this sectors. I'm trying to hide the deficiencies in this sector designs, nothing more, nothing less. If you check the structure of this sectors in the editor you will understand quickly what I'm talking about.

Sorry fellow pilots, this week I cant work on the mod. A several days of delay for the next version.

I really enjoy your work. The sectors are really beautiful!

But I have to say I am a bit tired to start over and over again. So just two questions, will there be a final version with no further restarts required? And when it will come out?
