I was liking the harsh yellow original but with the tunnel effect removed, a bit like a nasty/stormy yellow version of your 'foggreenoutlands' perhaps.

EDIT: Poor connary... he'll be sorry he ever came back! :D

With the soft version the Paranid carvings looks alien and sexy¡ This option isn't so obstructive and remarks the magnificent alien look of paranid ships.

I like more also this option but I will experiment a bit with a more intense one.

I like the yellow tube skies in the Paranid homelands, toning this color down to something darker would be nice too, because it's bit too bright.
At first I thought you have taken this background from X-rebirth :)

A soft version of the released one, I also added a spray effect to the floating cloud textures to get a more dense and dusty look to the sector:

That's looking good... has the tunnel effect gone? Any chance of an interim test patch so that we don't have to download the whole glorius shebang? Or do you have other treats on the way! :D

Any chance to have both this "soft" and previous "soft" in diffrent Paranid sectors? Both are too good to compete for one spot.

Has anyone thoughts of just no fog and space dust? Its starting to drag me into disbelief that the fog from these mods make these planets habital.

Oh wait¡ I have got something special here, a pleasant grey with menacing dark bubbles.
This bubbles looks so different from all the X space, it looks unnatural, perfect for the idea of remains of an ancient xenon explosion, menacing dirty clouds hiding the stars.

You must realize that everything in this game is unrealistic. If you download this mod its for the aesthetic appeal. If you arent into that then you shouldnt be using it. Am I off base? Do you really want a sector with nothin in it?

Nice Connery :D lol this still is the only mod that actually made me a bit scared and gave me the feeling of being up VERY high as if I was gonna fall. You don't usually find that in a mod but with the way things are done with your mod I always get that feeling... adds a bit of realism to it.

Well, I suppose this dizziness is good, lol

The ionized sea of Xalaar. The Paranid yellow lights looks beautiful in this environment.

Yes, indeed the sectors look great. A pity I can't use it with the Multi Galaxy Mod as it looses all the additional sectors in the MG mod. :(
Another one bites the dust!!

This didn't happen before on R1, but on 1.0 large ships and stations inside nebular sectors are transparent, and eventually disappear entirely when some (Enough that you'd normally still be able to see the ship) distance is made.

I looked at a Royal Boron Trading Station in Getsu Fune with IE on, with its back facing the planet, you could see the planet through the station. I removed IE from my directory and the station was no longer transparent.

I have no idea why it would be any different between two versions but it kills the wow factor with ghost capitals and stations flying amok.

I had checked Getsu Fune and it have a maximum view distance. Its a clear black background without fog. I don't have this kind of problems. This happened in a new started game? Perhaps something is messed up??¿?¿. In any case some more feedback relative to this matter will be good.

As Moonrat says Fogbluedistance has a bad fog settings. It will be corrected in the new version. Also It will include dozens of new sector tweaks, basically fine tuning and some replacement of nasty vanilla bad mapped planets and the erasing of some boron planet lights on incorrect sectors.
A new HD texture for the snow planet included.

For the moment no one is announcing the complete destruction of a sector, fuuuuu.........

You just need to put the cat/dat before MG and it will be fine unless MG has a loose universe map file.

Missed that post despite reading through the 1.0 relative replies, probably more hastidly than I should. I looked at a few other sectors (Maelstrom, The Hole, and Soulstorm to name a few), and they were perfectly fine.

Sir connary,

Welcome back!!!!
I have been Deeply Enjoying your work RC1 since last December...
Unfortunately I had a copy of x3universe.xml that had the insti-kill east of Zyarths Dominion...
I was offered a copy that was not fixed, and ran into trouble when the plot took me there...
Magog tidied up the xml (thread page 54), and it works fine!!!

Now I see V1.0 !!! Yay!!! oh wait... restart... :headbang:
Goodbye Aldrin, SpringBlossom & $1Bn :headbang:

NEW Connary !!! :x3:
Worth the Restart, whatever the cost... :x3:

Now, nine months later, am asking same question as I was back on page 50... I see you mention a new version, and I want to know about that.
If I need to restart, do I wait for a bit?
Can you give an idea where you see development going?
I am assuming a clean install and new game are required for full effect...

I have gotten used to restarting, and my game improves each time i do.
I have finished the Terran plot for the first time and halfway through OFF, but have not started the HUB or PHQ plots yet..

I LOVE your work. After all these years, I am still "Dazed and Amazed" by the Beauty you have brought to this game. I am excited to see what more is in V1.0 (but should I wait for V1.n?)
Any hints would be appreciated. I will monitor this forum closely....

Again Welcome Back, Loving your Work...

Thanx for All you do...
