Today marks my 100th played wordle (at least recorded on my main computer, I've played on other computers and then forgot to record the result on this computer). I won all 100, my guess distribution is as follows:

I calculate that my average number of guesses to get the right word is 4.04

I think I'll celebrate this milestone by never playing Wordle again!

What I meant was that I knew before I tried guess number 4 that I'd already eliminated one and there were only two left, and I picked the wrong one.

I'm not sure what you mean there. After I'd entered my third guess, it was clear that that guess was one of only 3 words that fitted the pattern with the remaining letters I had, meaning there were only two more left. If you think there was another possible word then feel free to add it in a spoiler, but I'm pretty sure there wasn't.
