missiles would be a bad idea when you are fired upon. also, carracks don't have any hangars. space suits are very much targeted and there is almost no way to avoid anything smaller than a ppc round in it.

But hey, even if he is gone, at least he didn't go by eating the side of a jump gate like we all suspected in the beginning....

I would say the above-described fracas counts as a certifiable 'blaze of glory'...

...or at least a blaze of plasma...

While I was doing a regular "Kill the pirate" mission, I ended up jumping into a cluster of M6's while I was in my Boreas. Granted, it's one hell of a ship, but with that many enemies, I started taking some massive damage. Decided to jump to another gate in the same sector to get away and get some distance, and my shields went down, hull went down, thought I was gonna die.
Down to 34% hull I jump, and as I exit the gate I hear "Jump drive destroyed". Lost 2 Gauss Cannons and some other upgrades as well, but I don't think I could've been luckier.

well cant RSLG so its good old HE BBQ time, Im sure his got another ship on the other side of the gate waiting as backup and or a boat load of HE to send out invites to the BBQ party.

and like mom always used to tell me If you can't find something to live for then your better off finding something to die for.

People, relax. He's a few km away from a gate, an M7 has a substantial amount of hull. He'll be fine.

I've been in the same situation, and it didn't kill me. Squiddy is 100x the player I am.

NUKLEAR-SLUG (aka. Squiddy), you are a cruel, and unusual individual, I have enjoyed reading the adventures of Squiddy Mcsquid, and to leave his demise so uncertain, and yet seemingly certain, is nothing short of unthinkable.

Please either confirm the death of Squiddy (after which I can stop watching the thread) or tell of his death-defying escape from the evil Split Armada.

Side note: Squiddy has almost convinced me to get enough cash together to upgrade my computer, and buy X3:TC, and that ain't a mean feat.

i always thought the regular JD and the UJD where two seperate versions of the JD

as in the UJD doesnt require the regular JD to operate
