Me noob, u will notice by the following questions on how to activate this script. Sounds like a real enhancement to the overall flavour of the game, especially the missions.

1. CCM is the main script to be copied to the X3 sub directories, true?
2. SM and EMP are the add on missions to be added like CCM?
3. I have already activated the script editor so that’s done.
4. What is the AL settings page?
5. Where will I find the command in game to use the chatter? Where will the chatter be, on screen, in the personal log messages?

Please don’t be frustrated by all these questions if they seem obvious. I simply have never used the script editor. The only add-ons from the Index of Mods I have gotten to work so far are, jump to me, auto trade delivery for getting jump drive juice to ships that run out of fuel (EC), and Xai auto single trade for best buy/sell of an item.

Suggestion for chatter, Star Trek, Star Wars. They would be in line with a space sim like X3. I might get these when I have time. X takes all my free time these days.

Yes.
SM Yes, EMP No, (EMP is required for SM)
Press esc, go to game settings, bottom of menu.
Pess enter, go to ship, go to orders, go to custom, select Monitor Comms. The chatter depends on if you have popups enabled or disabled in the AL setting spage. They will be on screen or in logbook respectively. All mission type chatter will be on screen.

They are in *.renameToZip format.

Rename file.renametozip to file.zip
Open with winzip or winrar

If that doesn't work, download the mirror. That one is a file.zip and doesn't need to be renamed. Open with winzip or winrar

If neither of those work I will look into it tomorrow.

Thanks I tried that but I got an error saying the file was corrupt or unknown when I renamed them I downloaded it 4 times. Got the zip off the mirror thanks again great scripts.

Right, I think I need a new host. I'll work on it.

Edit:
OK here's the deal. My file host has done some changes and all my files are now broken! I have a secondary host, but it does not have all the files.
I just had to reinstall Windows because of a hard drive fail. I backed up some of the files but I forgot one of my X3 folders.
So, if anyone has CCMFramework 1.0 OR 1.1, or the sample script, please email them to me at my name at yahoo.com.

I reported the error, and now the service is down but you can download the files. You don't need to send me anything, I now have it on my hard drive and the links work. I thought having 2 backups was ok but now I need a backup for my backup for my backup!

Sorry, forgot to list my problem.

I seem to have the mod and CCM installed properly, and I've gotten the message "You are being hailed" from B. Betty several times. But I don't know where to go to in the script editor to use the "cheat" that you spoke of at some point to locate the derelicts. Which cheat should I use.

There is no cheat any more. The cheat was for when the Salvage Mod was being tested.

Thanks for the reply. That's one less item to worry about.

However, I should note at this point that when I check my messages after being hailed, I get something in my personal log that just lists a number. The last one was "48910932". I am also experiencing significant slowdown of the game as well.

Any thoughts?
