An optimization pass on the game would be an extremely welcome sight

TLDR; Egosoft continue to find ways to make the game better in all aspects. Historically that's what they do with all of the X series games, it takes years to get to the polishing stage as they are a small indie, so people with low attention spans will unfortunately pass by and not get to experience the final product ..
.. but Egosoft are experts in what they do. Have faith
