Thank you very much for this mod, you are awesome. Works for me fine too, I already built L and XL ships at my Wharf (still trying to get the S and M blueprints). Works very well and pulls from my station that produces everything on its own. I really like that.

Okay, so I installed this mod I am now not able to refit/upgrade L and XL ships anymore at shipyards. It works at equipment docks just fine, but they do not have turrets apparently. Since I had no capital ships before I installed this mod I do not know whether this was caused by this mod or not, but if you would like to investigate if it is caused by your mod I would provide you with a savegame.

No one is forcing you to use my mod, feel free not to use if you're gonna feel that entitled to my precious time.
The mod works for everyone that has put 5 minutes of effort into making sure they're doing things properly.
You are either:
  • Trying to build the modules at your PHQ
  • Trying to build the modules without having the appropriate blueprints
  • Trying to get the blueprints without having researched the Build Modules tech
  • Installing the extension in the Documents folder instead of at the root folder of the game
None of the above listed bullet points will work, as we have already discussed in this same thread a bunch of times.

The mod does not touch regular NPC ship production facilities at all.

Hi, really enjoying this mod, thanks for taking the time to make it. Couple slight problems, I can't select custom presets at the player shipyard "due to unavailable equipment", but it lets me build the ship if I manually set it up. Also, the logical overview menu for both my shipyard and wharf freeze the game for a few seconds then the menu crashes. the menu works fine for my other stations. Overall, it seems to work, thanks again for making this possible so soon after release.

I don't have any of those issues, are you running 1.32? If so, show me the build plan of the station.
As for the custom presets, take a screenshot of exactly what you mean, presets work fine for me. Please, do note that custom presets could be including equipment you don't have a license for (for example, it's trying to equip Teladi shields but you only have a license for Argon shields).

You can actually buy the blueprints? What relation do you need for that? I was at 22 for the teladi and they still did not want to sell them(greyed out at the trader)

love the mod and it was working fine for me untill for whatever reason its started to crash when i try to buy the blueprints from equipments for the ships

EDIT: nevermind did give all blueprints with a cheat menu didnt give me the bits for the ships but still crashed me

I am on 1.32. The build plan is pretty long, should I take a series of screenshots or is there an easier way? With the presets, i'm fairly sure the problem isn't that i don't have the license, I can build the same preset at an appropriate shipyard. for instance I made a preset for a Shuyaku Sentinel at the Antigone shipyard using only argon parts, I have the licenses and I can load the preset and build the ship there. In my player shipyard the preset is grayed out with the equipment unavailable message and can't be selected. however if I make the same ship manually again, with the same loadout, I can produce those ships there successfully, i just can't load it as a preset.

Screenshots you requested and a list of the mods i'm using. I've tried disabling other mods with no change but i have no idea what may have a permanent effect on my save so i thought it might be relevant.

Edit 2-
The thing with the logical overview seems to be unrelated to this mod, maybe just a base game bug with adding too many production facilities to a station or something. This just happens when I add two more engine parts and a hull parts factory to my shipyard, wharf or factories that are identical to the shipyards just without the fabrication bays. removing those extra factories fixed it on both.

Just to let you know, turns out you *don't* need to complete the research to unlock the blueprints. Literally just started a new game, first data leak I scan on the EQ dock I spawn on gave me the blueprint for the S/M Maintenance Bay. But that's consistent with the rest of the modules anyway, the research is worded in such a way that sounds like you're not *supposed* to get blueprints for any until you've done the research...

The bug with presets is a Vanilla-Game bug. It happens to me even without using any mods. I could choose every part of the plan manually and build the ship, but when trying to load the preset it tells me that there are missing parts. Can happen on every shipyard.

Ah, fair enough. I've never had it happen before when using any npc shipyard and it's consistently 100% of the time not working at my player shipyard. So I think there may still be a problem here, or another mod interacting poorly or something.

wow, dead... are you sure? this type of response to hardwork erks me big time, perhaps you should take the time to learn about the game and its mods before you throw someones hardwork in the trash!

The loadout issue is because you're missing licenses. Please, do keep in mind that while, for example, Teladi shields are used by the Ministry and the Teladi Company, they are actually different in the eyes of the game and have different licenses so if you saved the loadout in a Ministry controller shipyard and then tried to use it in your own building facility, it will not work. Due to restrictions from the game itself, I cannot support faction based restrictions, only race based ones so you will not be able to reuse loadouts from Antigone, Ministry, HAT, etc. Create new blueprints for your own building facilities instead.

Read the OP, the meaning of the colours is written there.
TL;DR: you're missing licenses for those engines and since most of those only require generaluseequipment, just don't be at -30 with everyone perhaps.

Finally was able to build a S/M Fab module and a L Fab module. I've had the game running about an hour now and my Icon has changed to shipyard but I still don't have a trader or an option to build/repair/restock ships. Also a random Scale Pact Behemoth ship spawned in my Large Fab bay and it isn't moving.

I have tried to move a crew member to Station Ship Trader but they disappear and nothing happens.

The ship trader NPC is spawned by MD so it might take a while. Make sure that your station has:
  • Container AND Solid storage
  • A Pier
  • A Manager
The Ship Trader job shouldn't even be listed for you to manually assign. What version of the game are you running and what other mods?

However, it is showing up now but can't seem to build S/M Ships even though i have S/M Fab. I also have a L Fab but no XL Fab and i'm able to build L and XL ships.

I was actually originally trying to load a preset I had made at my shipyard, I was only using the Antigone shipyard to show that I'm not having the same problem at an npc shipyard and that I have the licences to build the ship normally.
