Will you guys remove the very stupid 'space loot' from the game?
No more stealing stuff out of lockers cases and trunks in front of security.

Just remove it. Please.

Probably X3 TC.

Anyway, I think it's good that they're making another expansion. I haven't pre ordered yet though, and I don't know if I will (but that's because I'm not really into pre orders).

I might be wrong but I think X Rebirth can be considered as being the basis of a future X game. I mean they won't throw away the engine completely, their development tools... A great proportion of what is X Rebirth "internally" will be reused. So you could say they've already started making the next X game.

Alternatively, they could invest the time and recourses into areas of the game that are not entirely optional. Looting isn't even required for Small Talk since at least one gift is craftable from sold items.

Provided your game is unmodified, then as always you will be able to use your existing savegames with 4.0. Similarly, as with the previous DLC, you will also be able to continue using your existing savegames when you install the new DLC. With mods installed, of course, that's something we cannot promise and it's up to mod authors to deal with any issues that arise with their mods.

just a question to EG
as i play x rebirth in beta since the launch of the game i think lol ... and as i have preorder hol on steam some days ago is it possible to play hol in beta also for now and tell you my testing comments with my 50 stations and something like 1000 ships working in the universe ...

Actually my mate did not get in HOL Beta. So he pre-ordered the HOL DLC. After signing up for the regular beta, he saw that the DLC is enabled in Steam.

So the short answer to your question is YES!

It's entirely possible that for a while, having pre-paid for the DLC could have granted automatic access to the DLC beta. But with sign-up for the DLC beta now closed, it would also make sense that any such automatic access period would have closed.

no luck for me , tried to revert in normal mode and again in beta doesn t work too.

I don't think it's possible.

You can get the 4.0 beta (which is a public beta), but not the 4.0 HoL DLC beta (which is a private beta)

so 3 whole new Systems one we know as home of light. i wonder what the other 2 Systems will be weather another one from X3 or a completly new one?

i hope there be plenty of new ships too. and i hope it wont be a dud like the taladi outpost, somewhere you can completly make do without ever visiting.

i hope home of light makes it somewhere important to visit, or to build in.
