Unfortunately there isn't one (at least not that I know of), and Litcube himself has stated that unpacking the mod will break it.

Correct, installing LU requires deleting a bunch of files from the vanilla X3 directory first. Just copying the new LU files in will break the game.

What is the problem you are having with the LU installer? Is it producing an error during the installation?

Great idea for the T16 - having it be a basic civilian ship running about. I was thinking about the YT- series of ships.. like the 1300. Would be be possible to make them either, very up-gradable or run 2 different version. So say "classic small hauler for the basic model" "heavily modified falcon version" for smugglers?

It be great to see them traveling around as traders.

Hi Captain,

Already done, there is the standard YT-1300 sold at Argon shipyards, there is also an entry in the JOBS file for a single 'unknown' Millennium Falcon (Unique upgrade) running around the galaxy. (now thats a great ship to capture)
There is also a Pirate/Smuggler version, another mod similar the the Millennium Falcon.

The only exterior difference all of em have is that they have slightly different engine colour and effect, since they all have modified engines, i will however change the skin of the "NEW" YT sold a shipyards.

At the risk of asking the obvious, did you remember to put the no-steam .exe for AP in your main X3 folder? Cause if it isn't there you'll get a "can't find game"-error.

Just in case it should be an issue I also think that LU only works with english versions of the game, but take that with a shovel of salt. :p

Can we get a list of all ships currently included in the mod? Also if it is to hard to trying to replace ships into litcubes mod, it is possible to use this "bounce" script. This should help with the AI pathing. Keeping those X-Wings or Tie Fighters from constantly ramming there targets.

Though if it is possible to use litcube's universe as a base, that would make the end mod much more complete. He's done a fantastic job of re-working the game to run better, and has revamped many systems that I think would really go well with your damn fine looking models.

Are you planning on the Terran replacing with the Empire? Great Job on that YT-1300

Regarding races

I was thinking of using Albion as the empire, their ship look suspiciously imperial as is (yes they are terran)
but I wanted to make it as if the Terran allied themselves with the Empire.

Guys please give some ideas/suggestions, options are: Paranid, ATF or Albion, or somehow make a custom race ( i know nothing about scripting so if someone can do this that would be fantastic, eg turn 'race 1' into Empire or something)

Secondly: if anyone has any ideas of how to make clouds, please

(plan to build Baspin planet surface sector, need a massive gas planet for bellow and clouds, i have a model of cloud city that im working on using in-game assets)
I also need an invisible gate to cover the sky of baspin (exiting planet)

if anyone has any good ship model they would like added, send me a photo of the model to mikhail_skatchkov@hotmail.com and ill let you know if i will add it, otherwise it will take forever me doing all of em alone.

I think your right about the terran having a very empire feel to them.
I like the idea of having the Teran allied with the empire. So my vote is Albion.

As for using "race 1" litcubes mod includes something called The Phanon Corporation which uses race 1 to create a competing organization that
builds up much like the player does and becomes a rival to your own faction.

Though if you did add the empire to this group, they would literally be the empire taking over the universe and hunting the player down :P
But this faction starts out small and builds up. If you want players seeing the empire in all its glory early on, you'd probably have to add the ships to a major race.

Side note this quote could be useful to you from litcubes wiki page

"The jobs engine has also been rewritten, with a few added benefits. All variants of ships are chosen.
In vanilla, only the first found ship with a matching variant was used, even if the race has several variants within the same class."
I guess he fixed a general limitation to the game. Not sure if this effects your current plans.

Wow that ISD is scary! Impressive ship list! Will the base tie fighter be cheap as chips m5's? Can't wait to blow them out of the sky with my very own X-wing squadron.

Question for you - I'm a video editor / youtuber.. anything I can help with? Collect sound clips?
Make some video clips in a certain format? Do some ship balance research on numbers? Just let me know. Thanks for putting all this work into such an awesome project.

I was gonna do it, just haven't gotten around to it yet, I have the original Corellian version as you saw in my screenshot earlier and I have the 5 engine (smuggler) version to, shouldn't take me more than an hour to do.

Nice shots :P I checked out the model today from the latest version, its looking great. Can't wait to see those Tie's or X-Wings attached on its underside.

The X-Wings seem to have a bug currently. They are blurred when looking at them at different angles.

The Venator drops the FPS from 60 - 18 when focusing on it.

If you'd like I can continue to test the mod and offer bug reports.

here is the litcube wiki, check to see if you have the features listed in the game. Litcube built his mod to keep the spirit of the X series while fixing the majority of its major bugs and issues.

Starting out you should get an E-mail from the new faction that's up against you if I remember right, and right away the menus should be loading faster.

Make sure there aren't any .pck files in your addon/scripts directory. In addon/t/, you should have t-files numbered: 8311, 8378, 8379, 8380, 8383, and so on.

In the addon directory itself, there should be cat/dat files numbered to 09. EMS, when installed, adds 10.

The loading screens and Main Menu have new backgrounds. The loading screens also say Litcube's Universe.


If you still have problems, then I have to wonder what is wrong with your X3 install. It isn't a pirated copy, is it?
