im afraid it sounds like you have either installed another mod that overwrites certain key files, or possible incorrectly installed the mod.

I'm going to add installation instructions so that these mistakes don't happen as often, i can understand how annoying it is when it doesn't work properly!

edit: I have uploaded installation instructions onto both the skydrive and dropbox links. I hope they help you resolve any issues you are having!

thanks for the reply, not sure which mod that could be, i only run the latest mars, ads, advanced complex hub, and some safe docking and undocking scripts.. but ill try a fresh install on a clean x3ap.

also, her initial loadout is screwy

try installing it as a fake patch, if you go onto my download links theres instructions on how to do this! it may resolve your issues!!

also could it be possible to tone down the spawn rate of the cylons, by the time i take out one group 3 more have spawned, then the original, i cant even jump into the scorpion shipyard sector and dock without being ambushed by 6 groups of em

also heavy raiders take FOREVER to kill

just did a fresh install with the same mods i was running prior and no issues so far, everything appears to be working as intended (other than a few typos) but honestly i am only an hour into a new game. i guess i had just copy and pasted too many updates or something along those lines.

i gotta say the thruster override is pretty cool, even if it does produce a strange stuttering effect on my end but i can live with it. thanks again for the mod and the assistance.

if only somebody would make a wing commander mod my life would be complete. :D

Made clean reinstallation, all is ok for now :-)

BTW, while the mod is in great stable condition, maybe it‘s worth to make some attention to the topic itself. Could suggest to add some screenshots or even some kind of promo video or else. An i‘d like to make some topics on national forums (like x3tc.ru\elite-games.ru and so on) with your permission of course.

I‘m gonna have a free weekends so i,ll try some ideas about media content (hopefully have some skills in Vegas Pro and Photoshop) and be able to present some in monday or so for your judjement =)

P.S. And i‘m really curious about possibility of mod‘s translation. In my case i‘m pretty familiar with English to play games without any translation. If you could grant a permission, i‘d like to make an translation into Russian (both missions and ships\weapons) and post it in the russian part of this forums as well as sites i‘ve mentioned above.

she wont stop talking about missiles incoming..

another thing is the berzerk undock .. my raptor die eveytime ..
may i try a freesh and clean installation before post here :lol:

She's talking when cylones baseship nearby or all the time?:-)
If when the baseship nearby, thats ok due to dozens of missles launched at one moment =)

it is supposed to be quite hard, but sounds like it may be a bit over the top. I will contact JCC as he is responsible for that bit of the mod. Its quite easily modified and wouldnt need a game restart. will get back to you! Heavy raiders are hard to kill, but try using your heavy batteries for a job like that!

Concerning the thruster override, it is awesome isnt it, the stuttering effect is just the way the script works, its constantly calculating your forward trajectory, and so the stuttering is just a side effect.

My idea is about making a story-based promo video which will be closer to an a cinema than to an ads. Moreover i‘d like to make a kind of portfolio with stylized pictures of all BSG ships in the mod (post-processed screenshots with short description of vessel with charateristics and so on).

Can‘t promice anything, but i‘ll try to upload the first picture until monday as an example. If you‘ll like that one, i'll make other ships pictures.

I admit that this kind of visualisation is not the main thing for the work you‘ve already done. But i wish the moment when BSG funs will install X3AP in reason for playing this amazing mod even if they had no idea abot X series at all :-)

UPD: Oh, ad of course, another reason to make the pictures and promo is to involve not BSG funs (maybe someone will like models, other will be interested by idea or story)

Sound like a really great idea, well i will admit i would not have time to start on something like this. So send me a pm with the link to your picture on Monday and we will discuss this further! :) great to see people so motivated.
And it would be great to let the wider community get word of this mod!

I found another mistake ...

the Valkirie dont fire from left side front turret cockpit
i do a restart ( yes i do :lol: ) and the ship dont work properly ..
(I'm sry posting only for supposed bugs but i like this mod and i want it perfect :wink: )
another thing is about flack lasers .. why fragmentation? if is flack it work like real galactica weapons .. try it!!! (sry again to bored u about this ^^" )
and about thruster override it show like "za_emp_blank_ware_custom16_16" but it work correctly .. this appen after the installation of the script make able use the thruster override.. o.o

Problem confirmed concerning the valkyrie, its not the end of the world :P but i see what you mean. Ile fix the issue and itle be part of the next update. Dont apolagise haha bug reports are always good, help improve the mod.

Im not sure what you mean about the flak, i personally really like the flak weapon effect we have implemented.

Im not quite sure what you mean 'by after installation of the script', Thruster override is already part of the mod, so if you mean that you installed the script again then that is the reason why it isnt showing up properly! If this is not what you mean please explain.

i am talking about my heavy flak batteries, they take forever once the shields are down :P (even valkyries missile batteries take a while too, or they just completely miss)

and yeah, i dont mind having 3-4 groups spawn in, its just how quick they spawn in after you've jumped or done anything, currently it feels like 3 minutes and you quite literally have no time to do anything then either fight or run, I HAD 4 GROUPS SPAWN ON ME AS A MK 2 VIPER ONCE

Remember that colonial weapons are kinetic, in other words have no guidance system, wherever the weapon is aimed and fired at that is the final trajectory of the bullet and it will not change course. So yes you will have to improve your aim ;). I do see what you mean about the heavy raiders being hard to take down, but they are difficult to destroy as shown in the series. Try combining your attacks with your own missiles!. I have checked though and there do seem to be rather a lot of heavy raiders, i may reduce this in the next update!

Concerning the missile batteries on the valkyrie, you will find that the missiles they use are nearly as strong as conventional warheads, which means to compensate for there strength (and the fact that they cant be shot down like other missiles) there fire rate has significantly been reduced. Its probably best to use them against slower moving objects

guess my main complaint with the heavy raiders is the lack of AOE damage on the cluster flak weapons to take out more then one, however i believe this is a actual game issue rather then the mod one

and with the missiles, stationary heavy raider, AI targeting, the missiles repeatedly went around the target, not my aim at all :P

yes we did have a system in place consisting of linked flak effects that we hoped would create AOE damage, but i dont think it ever worked, it looked brilliant but resulted in serious fps issues. Its game constraints im afraid as far as i know!

Strange concerning the missiles, however again i would advice to only use them against larger objects! (technically the missile batteries the valkyrie had where meant to be against fighters, so quick moving with target locks. But the combination of being able to fire them from batteries and having target locks is not possible with the x3ap engine, so compromises have to be made!!)

odd moment, reloaded my save and half of my ships, although i can access them, have disappeared from the Scorpion shipyard, and i cant undock them

also, undocking hordes of ships from the Valhalla results in ships crashing into the flight pods on takeoff as they try and turn, but end up hitting the walls of the ship :P
