Pre-load and release information

Blimey it's changed a bit round here, it's been 10 years since I was last in these here parts! (didn't even realise I had an account to be honest).

When the game unlocks (if it's at 12 GMT) I'll be at work. I plan on spending the afternoon at work reading the manual, I can remote link to my PC at home and dropbox the manual to myself, will that work? will the manual be available as an out of game PDF once the game unlocks?

Not been this excited ina game since I was a kid lol, Noon uk time is half my day off though:-(

12:00 gmt, I hope this is true but I doubt it for one simple reason. Things never work out the way you plan and nobody know this better than developers. My wager would be closer to 7-8pm gmt (2-3 pm est).

Since the game would be released at 12:00GMT, it would be 13:00 for me (GMT+1). Luckily, the only thing on the agenda for me is a small meeting at 11:30 and after that I'll probably get some supplies to last me a few days of playing.

Im happy to finaly see rebirth coming in the next 24hr, sadly, it will unlock as i will have to open the door to go to work XD, that gonna be a long day ahead....

Awesome news - Shame about the extra DL. I wanted the DVD as im stuck on a crap internet connection so 1GB is going to take all bloody day to complete

All these talking about flicking the switch is very good and dandy. But, this is a big release for Egosoft, make no mistake about it, and it is our responsibility, as members of the community to make sure it goes well. So any chance we can flip the switch for testing purposes? Just to make sure that it really works and you can have 5 or 6 hours of stable gameplay. Of course once we are sure it all works as it should do, we...you know...can keep playing?

There is another thread posted this afternoon HERE with a link for the PDF manual on Steam, you don't need to dropbox it to yourself.

GMT and UTC are the same. Neither involves daylight savings.

Steam store has adjusted the release time. It now says 10 hours, which means 13:00 (1pm) gmt+1 for me

Yes you will still have to download the 1.5GB's that everyone will have to as that was an update and is files that are not included on the disk. so if you have the disk you can save yourself having to download the first 4.4GB, which will be helpful to some people, hence me putting that link on how to do it up.

Having bought the german box myself but preferring to play in english, I'll second this question.

Though, past experience is that you can switch the language to english, let's hope they keep that up.

Try the Steam settings of the game, there might be a language option there that can set your game to English, many other games have that as well

It's there now, but there were a few games where they changed to russian only after some time. So i'm asking it here.

Just to clarify, there is no relationship between either localised boxed versions or Steam activation restrictions, and X Rebirth language availability within Steam. All languages are available to everyone in Steam.
