I have often said on the forums, along with many others, that there is no right or wrong way to play the game.

However,up until now the plots have been sort of linier, requiring you to make certain actions complete before the plot moves forward.

Now, iirc, for the first time we get choices within the plot, which effects how the game continues.

eg., Who to ally with?
or Do I want peace?

At this point you could use the Game save manager(in my sig), then try out each scenario, and see if you like the results.

Beware though,that the effects on your game are not always instant.

The Russian plot translations have unfortunately not made it into the initial release. However, our translators are working hard on handing them in as soon as possible. The same applies to Spanish and French translations.

Just before I get started, what races do the new ships belong to? I look forward to trying them out. Still, since I have plenty of ships now I'm all fired up for the plot

Regarding the new factories added in 3.0 for terrans, does anyone know of a complex calculator which will likely be updated with the new stations soon? Or better yet one that already have them. I have been using http://www.altanetworks.com/x3/x3apocc.html so far but it didn't even have all stations from before the last patch (at least not the keris drone factory).

Would be very useful to expand my missile plex with a ghoul missile plant for skirnirs.

I read in a recent thread that "like-stations" are basicly the same as regards resources and outputs.
How true this is, I have not tested.

However,maybe if you ask about updating the one by Xadrian, in his thread, you might get somewhere.
It is also an off-line calc with several good features like mineral maps etc.

I will test that using the altanet complex calc then, failing that I will check out Xadrians thread.

Edit: Tried it out for different missile stations, flail and hammer torpedo required the same 3 resources and amounts and wraith, poltergeist, shadow and phantom all had the same 3 resources and the same amount aswell.

Any ETA on the OSX steamplay roll out? Keen to play 3.0 without booting windows and VP seem to be behind the times on releasing patches for my app store copy.

There an interesting Xenon ship in one of the plots.

It is not active as in the video clip on Steam,but plays an important role in the plot.

I just looked at the clips and pics. some of them are quite old now.
Not all of them apply to the new plots.

EDIT: I tought that there will be 1 new Xenon ship also , the Xenon really need better M7 perhaps M7M , but nevertheless looking forward to play this ...again xD

I suppose this update for those who are new to X games, because I would assume that fans are a bit tired from 7-8 year game engine; who know all the trick and logarithms this game work.
Wish I could play it, but after sucking everything how/from game now, I can not stop my self seen all "old technology" thus ruining my immersion experience.
I will be glad to know if this small update will bring more resources for the development of Rebirth.

I love how Egosoft tricks new player by showing them "formation" of fighter as on "1;22"; using stand still ships and just moving the camera , but in the game they will never be able to fly this way...

Steam has discounted X3 Albion Prelude until 22 May, but describes it requires X3 Terran Conflict on Steam.

Does this mean you need to purchase X3 Terran Conflict on Steam or will it run on the box edition that I bought years ago that does not require Steam?

Thanks for your prompt reply. When I registered my X3 TC with Steam, it want's to download the entire game again I have posted for help on how to word around Steam's inflexibility.
