Why ?
The 3D model and the texture are excellent, full of details, and when Egosoft have announced that we will have a 3D interior of our whip with the possibility to talk with the crew and walk around we just have the sertitude that we will have a 3D character...
Why you hope its not ?

Well first the face are not bad, i think its just really nice in fact, mainly compare to nothing, and anyways maybe someone will create a character addon for replace our copilot.
And don't forget that the game are far to be finish in fact...Its maybe a fast character only for testing during development phase, i'm sure its not the final version we see here =)

I think the faces (and mainly the facial expressions of those "dancers") are done in such a "trolly" way on purpose (or at least I hope so

Well I am a bit late to the party but it's a nice April's Fool, though I am more interested in what this could mean for the actual game. If this is indeed an ingame screenshot it is the very first insight we have into the actual interior of ships. What could this be, the Skunk, a station, one of the player's capital ships?

But I am having sort of mixed feelings about it, the female characters, ambient and details are ok, but the Teladi just looks silly. I hope the final characters are improved upon, I don't this cartoonish look they have, it reminds me of the old NPC pilots avatar.
I like alien races with a darker/more serious look perhaps, anyway great work egosoft. I wish there were more April's fools cause that would mean two screenshots in a week instead of traditional one.

What a good example, how opinions can differ.

Other people were already stating that they don't like the teladi on the screen, because they don't look like the old NPC avatars.

Hehe guess you are right, I mean it is impossible for the developers to please everyone and these are quite an improvement from previous games in my opinion. But for me they just need to go a little further

Imagine we was hit, all our maneuver thruster are dead and wz go ahead of an asteroid, we look at her, we say to her a last good bye, we kiss her and we hug her a last time and waiting our end...

And a crew member, the dirty Teladi come and say: I don't want to loozzzzzee profitssssssss !... and just do something that we don't expect : simply throttle to 0 and stop the ship...
