Sorry if it has already been stated but does anyone have the system requirements for the games in the pack. Mainly the early ones, i know my laptop will die if it tried to run anything beginning with 'x3'.

Going by what I have read, and my own similar experience to you, all games up to and including X2 should run fine on your laptop, although you may lack some graphics features...eg X3 Reunion on my old laptop would not render the 'roids very well, but otherwise still played.

Providing ,of course , that you have at least Windows XP or later.

Dear egosoft could u plz let us know if the steam update to 3.0 will be released prior to, at the same time or after the X-superbox release, i know i've asked before in this thread its just that even though i am going to buy the superbox i would prefer to get the patch first since it takes ages to dl/install x3 on my system due to a bad inet connection as well as a poor disk drive reader and so the patch would be less hard on the system...

But if its out after the 8th of Oct then i wont be able to w8 and will have wished to have pre-ordered it incase the local shops don't have it. I have the money now but won't in early oct and so would have to w8 till end of oct.

Also will there be a conflict since i already have X3 TC registered on steam, so would i have to uninstall this one and then reinstall through the X-superbox cd and won't that have a diff registration code than the one i have linked to steam. Or will there be an option when i put the superbox cd in my drive that gives me the option of simply updating to 3.0 from 2.7.1

No, there won't be any conflicts. It's already possible to have multiple installations of X3 on one computer without any problems.

I doubt that. All games will come fully patched. So, the box (probably) won't include the single 3.0-patch, to patch already existing installations, as well. Also, patches for the steam version are normally provided by steam directly.

As is always the case with updates, we try to ensure that the Steam release is coordinated with our own. As you will appreciate (and you may recall) sometimes there are technical issues beyond our control which cause the updates to be released asynchronously. Rest assured that we always seek to avoid this and Steam users will have their clients updated automatically updated when it is available.

If you have the hard disk space you can always install the 3.0 included in the superbox, then when steam releases 3.0 copy(or cut) and paste the files in the superbox installation to the folder that steam uses.

Something like:
<root>\Steam\steamapps\common\X3 Terran Conflict

May then need to 'verify local files' to download any steam related stuff.

May be worth doing a backup before attempting this to prevent something going wrong and the game then having to redownload in its entirety.

I don't know what the problem is in your specific case, but it's quite common for online shops accepting credit card payments not to accept a billing address in a different country to the shipping address for fraud prevention reasons.

Well i've emailed your ordering department to see if this can be resolved, don't fancy paying twice as much for it when it comes out up here in Sweden.

As the 3.0 Update was specifically created for the X Superbox, it stands to reason that it should not be made available by other means before that date. As I have already mentioned, there are a number of factors that have determined the X Superbox's release date, so we ask those users who are not purchasing the X Superbox to remain patient until it is released.

Glad to hear it's getting released, and I'll be ordering it from the Egosoft shop shortly. I do have one questions about the Superbox though, will the soundtrack be complete for the entire series (includes each game) or will it just be selections from specific games?

I'll go out of my way for a soundtrack :D and I've almost bought X3 Gold just to get the one included with it; so I'm hoping that this is a complete (or as complete as it can get) soundtrack instead of just a small selection.

The "MP3 Soundtrack" mentioned in the Bonus Features is a collection of some of the best tracks from X3TC. Of course, you can always navigate to the games soundtrack folders and pick out additional MP3s you want.
