Hi. I have an Intel iMac aluminium. I found that an app from crossover.com allows you to install pc only apps/games/installers. You can use their demo version for a few weeks but I bought a copy. I have all the mods for X3 and Ashley's Fab's are right in there amongst them.

Are you using an Intel Mac? We also have Mac support at 'vpltd.com'

Hey there, anybody know a relatively simple way to install this bonuspack on a Mac OSX platform? I tried crossover but it won't let me install because it says my X3 application does not contain and X3 application. Because it is not an exe file?

Any ideas would be kind.

What Mac have you got. What is the OS v and is your Mac an 'pre-Intel' or Intel base? And where is your 'dxdiag'?....

Seriously though, not the latter bit, just wanted to say 'dxdiag' to a Mac user

I take it you have bought the Mac version which includes the Bala Gi missions? Have to ask, someone I know was sold an old copy without 'BG'.
Crossover is, as far as I remember, based on the Intel Mac. My version is anyway. When you pointed Crossover at the initial 'X3: The Return' folder it may have been the 'alias' link to the actual 'pc' version the Mac uses via 'Cider'. I should be able to help you with a bit of the above info' I asked for.
If I cannot then maybe Tyvol or Nanook or other intelligentsia perusing this forum can!

For those of you with OSX versions of X3, where were you able to install these scripts? I finally managed to extract the description / scripts / t folder etc. with my friend's help. But i'm not sure where to put these files. Any help would be appreciated

if you look at your installation folder of x3 you will find the same directories, just copy the files over (allow them to over write).

Hi Yunny!, you can download Crossover (from crossover.com) as a trial version. As long as you have an Intel Mac . Crossover uses the full pc installer so all the necessary files/mods etc go where they are needed. I find it so good I have bought Crossover to use pc software without the need for Bootcamp or Windows add-on. All the best.

I installed this patch today but cannot find in the Egosoft file any Read Me that pertains to this patch. I would be very appreciative if someone call tell me how to use the "new" stuff. I am up to speed on the older scripts.

A lot of really good information is in the first page of this thread, but the BP also installs a 'program group' in your Start Menu (for Windows anyways).

Im playing the XTended 0.7 MOD, and I also downloading these scripts into my game but theres no sign they are activated. Do I need to activate them somehow, or are they automatically there?
Im not getting any messages when I start my game up that they are activated. What am I doing wrong?

You don't get any message because there is no message to get, once you install the bonus pack it's active and there is no confirmation.
