of what i have been able to play, this is quite a fun mod, but is it just my installation but when i click using the mouse on the mobile pirate station, the whole game crashes to the desktop with no errors, it only does this for the mobile pirate station. the only over mods i have installed are stevio's shipyard, weapons dealer, and combat fab and the salvage claim software.

however i did notice the same thing happens when i click on the weapons dealer. could this be a related bug, or just my X3, i have also reinstalled but still get the same problem.

EDIT: i forgot to say that i can select both the mobile pirate station and the weapons dealer if i use the navigation map and select the target, but i prefer to use the mouse for targetting :(

Weird.

As far as I know, nothing special is run by my script when you select a base as a target. Honestly, this sounds like a bug related to the game itself or to the "Mobile Pirate Base" game model.

If you're willing to help, i'll make this week a test version that use the Split Elephant instead of the Mobile Base to see if you've still experiencing the issue. If it solves it, i'll add an option for the player to choose the kind of mobile base used by the plugin.

i dont think it is todo with the pirate base model, as i installed LV's cheat script and placed down my own mobile pirate base and in my nova i could click on it without a crash, i think i mite try removing a mod and test it and keep doing it it mite be a problem completely irrelevant to this mod or any other, but its worth checing :roll:

Just one Question coming up in the german fellow thread:

What about race relationships / ranks if U kill or enter race ships created by a mission for Yaki Armada?
Will they behave as if U have killed them in normal game mode or more like in the original kill missions created by ES (in normal kill missions U don't get any penality points to Your race rank, instead U get a slight rank push in both ranks of the employers race also of the targets race)
Some clearification would be nice :)

(thats what SuperVegeta found out.)

any chance to fix this (maybe disabling it for the moment?)

@Dark-Venom : After some testing, your CDT when clicking on the mobile base isn't related to my plugin in any way. Dunno exactly what is the issue.

@Mike.Galaxy:

If a mission ask you to attack, let's say, a Boron TP and its escort, you'll loose reputation with the Borons and you'll have a rank up with the Yakis. In other words, if you wan't to achieve the highest rank in the Yaki Guild, you'll probably be red with all other races. In the next version i'm currently writting, each Mobile Base will only focuse on 2 races, allowing the player to stay 'blue' with the others :)

About the "bug". It's NOT a bug. This "anarkis.lib.comm" file is unused and has been replaced by "lib.ecs.comm".

YA is using a library I made, called ECS, to handle communications with ships from multiple races. Additional details will be available when i'll officialy release this library.

Thx for Your answers, Serial, just have brought the news into the German Thread (cause they always ask me though I wrote clearly that I'm only the translator and technical questions should be posted here :wink: )

So the "anarkis.lib.comm" shouldn't be inisde the Plugin anymore as its unused in the current (and future) version. Maybe U should delete it in a further update, so nobody, who digs deep inside your scripts for understanding how it works will be misslead , as it just happend :roll:

By the way, thanks for your work on the German board with my plugin, i've received your translated version of the readme, and i'll include it in the 1.05 version that should be out very soon :)

Hey, good News, Serial Kicked :)
(I'm afraid You're not the only one of the productive scripters here in the forum leaving unused stuff in a revised version of a script package :wink: , such things happen,never mind.

Therefore I think its useful to provide those good works like Yours to a broad(er) audiance across language borders, so You have the chance of getting as much productive feedback as possible (and we the chance to get an even better Plugin as it already is :D )

No changes in the language files for the V1.05, I suppose?
What about the documentation inside the package? You wrote some time ago, You will rework it. If this will be done, I may translate it too (if I can afford some time therefore of course)

I've not yet written the "final" documentation, as i'm currently out of free time with the Pirate Guild, ACC 1.3 and the Xperiment Fusion Project (XFP Mod). So, it'll be for a little later :)

umm guys i nneed some help with the AL i cant locate the bloody thing i can see the yaki TL(magnificent ship oh and btw good work serial kicked) but i still cant locate the AL settings menu can someone help me plz

write a readme file and no one will read it. :roll:

1) Enable the script editor (stickied topics)
2/ Save your game
3/ Reload your game
4/ Go in the Gameplay settings
5/ Look at the last item, called "Artificial Life"
6/ Here you are.

i have done that thnx now but the ecs wont appear i trided for like 4 hours to make the bloody thing work i downloaded the script 3 times to make it work i did each and every single thing to make the ecs appear but it wont appear plz mate do something i simply luv the script with all its ships and tl so plz tell me wot to do cuz i gave up

Erf.

First, how have you installed the script ? Using the Script Installer or by unpacking the RAR archive ?

If you know where's installed X3, probably in something like
"C:\Progam Files\Egosoft\X3 Reunion" (can't recall exactly the default path), please go to this folder, open the subfolder called "scripts". And check if the following files are inside :

"al.plugin.ecs"
"al.plugin.yaki.armada"
and a bunch of files beginning with "anarkis.yaki."

If not there's something wrong, and you've probably installed the script in a wrong folder.

i have used both of them to install the script and i have both of the specified files but still it wont work,i simply dont know wot to do and i wont kill those tl cuz i want to be a pirate

Err.. To be honest,

if all files seem to be correctly extracted
if you've activated the script editor
if you've made the savegame & reloaded it to enable all scripts

you should have both the lines:
- Yaki Armada: Nomadic Pirate Tribe
- ECS: Extended Communication System

in your Artificial Life menu. Do you at least have the "Yaki Armada:.." line ?

By the way, do you use other scripts ?

Managed to find my first 'undercover' mobile base last night, but it wouldn't respond when I commed it...Then forgot I'd forgotten to hotkey and use ECS! Duhhh! Fortunately, I've got a save I can load up tonight...Oh, the pirate's life for me... :D

In combination with DD's player SY, and LV's HAT script...it's finally possible to become a dedicated pirate in X3!! Huzzah! Huzzah!

Hehe good luck :)

Notice that undercover base won't accept any communication. Usually, they travel undercover to reach a pirate base to resupply & repair. You'll have to wait that the mobile base reach its destination before beeing able to comm with it.

(btw pirate life will be even better in XFP mods ;) )

I'd love to see the DDRS mod fully support a Yaki Armada 'pirato-centric' existence. And will continue to explore creative ways to make that happen. Can't let you XFP guys have all the fun!

P.S. One of the major problems about going all or mostly pirate in vanilla X3, is that pirate fighters will always appear and behave as enemies...So if you set up some fabs in a pirate sector, you can't make friends with 'em, always have to kill 'em to protect your fabs/ships.
So I'm so glad that YA makes it finally possible to make pirate fighters go 'blue' neutral.
