The only laughs should be at anyone who misses them with even a single shot!kill-time wrote:Hey nice scale you've made! I'd like to see some Khaak cruisers
And I love the fact that the Borons have the biggest ships in the game. No more laughs from the other races now.

Seriously, it's not the size that matters, its the armor and firepower!

OH, and I LOVE this image! I'll have to keep track of it as more ships are added, including the M5 and M4 fleas!

Next up is the human carrier and Teladi cap ships. These will probably take a while, VERY detailed. Image should start seeing updates around 5pm pacific STD time.

Most impressive work scoochy !
Thanks for sharing, and thanks to all contributors !
I can't wait to view the finished result.
(Man, what a community the X-games have
)
If this turns out nice, I think it would deserve to be "patched"
into the X3 loader/start application, on its own button or shared with
"other community-created and Ego-staff okeyed things"-button..
Like guides and other great things I have seen on the forums. (All would have to be relatively printer friendly mind you..)
Would be a neat way to keep track of where all "the stuff" is.

I wouldn't mind at least a Dev or something chiming in and letting me know if I'm way off or not. Would suck to do all this work and find out my calculations are wrong.

Human Carrier added.
Sadly, the image size is getting huge, so I am having to reduce the quality. Or I can reduce the size so that mabye it will fit on the majority of the monitors. Lemme know!

There is a new winner in the size competition.
Weighing in at approx. 3454 meters long
It's none other than....
The Teladi Albatross.
All that profit has funded a seriously large ship!
Needless to say, Teladi Albatross added.

Why not just ZIP it up and then we can just download it

I would be more than happy to host the file if you wanted to go that way...
That way you wouldn't have to reduce quality or the size

Teladi Condor added.
The image on the first post will still be there, and that will be updated when I complete a ship, the Zip will be updated whenever it's updated. Guess the zip can have the date as the file name or something.

Welp, them money grubbin' Teladi fools have one up'd themselves, with another ship for the record books.
The Teladi Phoenix....making the Boron ships look like your run of the mill TS. Measuring tape summed her up at 4495 meters! For you imperial folks, that's 2.79 miles!
Anyway, Teladi Phoenix added.

Hey nice job m8. Just a thing from before, you were trying to work out actual size instead of scale to one another. Nice bit of math can sort it out sure.
But why not scale shoot an astronaut? dude's what, 1.8m tall? something
should be a laff anyways.
EDIT: just remembered after hitting submit. my namesake is from Lexx, and as to scale i remmeber like the second episode. some dying race or another launched a frozen occupant from their planet with a repeating message about please help something or other.
The opening of the show has the camera following this capsule, with the repeating plea for help and salvation repeating over and over. The camera zooms back a bit and you see a shape entering from offscreen.
Seconds later it smashes into the very bottom edge of the bow of the lexx and the camera zooms back and back and back.. so you cant even see the burn mark from exploded capsule and the ships still not entirely in view.
