It means you cant turn it off via the AL menu, attempting to switch its On/Off state will open the IR config screen.TheHellHound123 wrote:Yes that was the problem thanks very much. Also why does it say improved races 'locked' in the al plugins section. What does it mean by locked?

do I still need this if i DL it now? (first time trying btw)Jack08 wrote:Anyone who has installed and used IR2.0 in there savegame at least once, it is of critical importantce that you download this script: http://download.xtimelines.net/a.IRFixScript.xml (right click, save as)
also, i found out that after setting all the relations, the economy seems to be dying, i see much less TSs working, and sectors become very empty, with only the race military there mostly. is this normal?
I set the relations lore wise, split enemies with boron, argon friends with boron and enemies with terran and paranid, pirate friends with yaki and both enemies with everyone, and terran enemy with everyone.
one more thing is that pirates starting spawning responce fleet for buildings in pirate sectors, while on the same time a ECO TL keeps building in the same sector, sounds weird but its whats happening in "Split Fire" in my game...

That script was part of the upgrade instructions of a revision a very long time ago, why would you need to use it now??
tbh i don't know what you've done, all of these issues have been fixed in IR so unless you have managed to install a very old version somehow, i don't know... IR cant spawn response fleets for stations O.o

umm..ok, then this is probably what happened, IR spawned a response fleet (for nothing since i don't see major enemies of the pirate in the sector) and after, the fleet(pirate) started attacking all stations in the sector.
thers is only like TSs and high tech M3 transporters in sector, and a few recon drones, is this enough to make IR spawn a response fleet?
may I ask what criteria has to be met for IR to spawn a responce fleet? and does the player combat rank affect what they spawn?

@cryptonite
if you set the pirate to be at war with certain races, then races' stations that happened to be in pirate sectors are considered hostile, thus the pirates launched response fleet, that's my guess.
anyway I need help, is there a way to change ships that are being used as races' response fleets? playing in mainly terran and argon space, I find it odd that the terran would use terraformer ships and even CPU ships to response from incursions, they are supposed to have extreme AI phobia... I'd like to change them to ATF ships which aren't included as terran responses.
I'm playing XRM AP btw.

As i have already said, Hostile stations cannot cause response fleets.nap_rz wrote:@cryptonite

As for the Terraformer ships, IR has valid blacklists for the vanilla game, however if someone has added or copied Terraformer entry's, then IR is going to spawn them unless the new entry's are put into the blacklist in xtl.lib.ship.choose.

but that's what I'm seeing... I had the pirates be neutral with too many races before and races started to built things on hatikvah faith, after I turned the pirates to be more hostile, then pirates responses started blowing things there, deny it all you want but that's is what apparently happening in my game...Jack08 wrote: As i have already said, Hostile stations cannot cause response fleets.

is there also a way to force certain ship to appear as response?

I have built a complex in the sector past legends home. I have the necessary CR, but when i go to the IR config menu it says "why cant i takeover this sector? You should be asked within a few minutes". But i haven't received a message yet. I do have player sector takeover enabled. So is there any reason why this is happening, or is there a specific place to get the message?

IR 2.0 does not "ask you" this. You have the wrong thread....Aurilensasen wrote:I have built a complex in the sector past legends home. I've encountered a couple problems that I'm not sure how to deal with.
Firstly, and perhaps the biggest one, other races expanding stations into a sector I claim (even if I claim it for another race and should have no control over it) seems to draw money out of my account to pay for the stations they build. I have no other explanation for why my money suddenly disappears so quickly after I claim a sector. I've watched it happen -- the Starliner comes into, say, the Xenon Hub sector, places a station, and 8 digits worth of money instantly vanishes from my account -- even though I didn't claim the sector for myself! Why can't the Argon pay for the stations the Argon build in a system the Argon control???
This might be related: The economic station builder thinge seems to build these broken "complexes" producing random goods for the low low price of negative 42 billion, and will buy supplies for negative 42 billion as well. I can get a screenshot if this will help. Is it possible that they're screwing with something that's causing me to lose all my money?
Put the two together and you have a system that is absolutely ruining me. I absolutely CANNOT keep money in my account like this. This is game-breaking brokenness, and I've decided to go back to a previous save and disable everything but the ship ordering script, which I find to be excellent. I'd keep the AI war scripts going too, but the result would be devestating emptiness in every border sector after enough war has happened, which isn't the goal of the mod.
If there's a viable fix for what I'm experiencing with the station building system that'd be wonderful. I'd love a good chance to crush the pirate and Xenon sectors once and for all and broker peace between everyone else.
I have mostly-vanilla TC, no bonus pack, and the Marine Repair and Improved Boarding mods which I have no reason to believe should interfere with anything like this.

I haven't a clue what is happening, you are aware that it costs 35m to claim a sector right? I don't know why your eco-booster is building those stations it makes no sence at all, however IR will not take credits from your own account for any reason other then you hitting the claim button or because of taxes. which is has clear warning on the claim screen.Imgran wrote:I've encountered a couple problems that I'm not sure how to deal with.

Have you opened your empire overview to check if your paying taxes on a station? have you check the tax report? Taxes are disabled by default so unless you turn them on i dont know...
Your the first and only report ive had of this, so unless something has gone majorly wrong with your game / game install / mod install / other unforeseen occurence; i think you may have not understood how claiming works or IR is not the soul cause of your problems.
You can disable Player Sector Takeover to disable taxes entirely, without reverting your ownership, you can also eco-blacklist your claimed sectors when claiming them. Tax income is Positive for stations in player sectors, so your not paying for them, negative in race sectors for protection, but again it must be manually turned on station by station.

I know I'm not paying taxes, and if all I'd lost is a one time fee of 35 M I'd be fine with it. I tend to start out with 140M and wind up running missions for beer money whether or not I claim the sector for myself. Money just disappears from my account whenever I claim a sector, at a hideous rate. And it doesn't stop[/i]

So I love your mod btw. Been using it for a good 6 months now, this is the first time ive ever come across a glitch type thing.
I recently began to play X3AP again and installed my favorite mods. IR 2.0, More ships, and X3TC plot line for X3AP and the cheat package but I dont think that would interfere at all.
Anyways, I chose EcoBooster (something I normally dont do) and whenever I go to Mars or Saturn I find about 120 stations (Terran stations...Ya...Its cramped), so I dont really know what to do. I turned eco booster off in hopes that it will fix things and also hit the "clean universe" function. But nothing seems to be happening. Any suggestions?

This may have been covered already, but I am having problems with the Terran claiming my sectors even when I have a defense fleet IS and have all members of that fleet set to be hostile toward them. I have several stations there as well. I was even present for the latest of these offenses.
An Osaka jumps in and claims the sector (takes less than 3s) then disappears (there is not even a jump flash) before my CIGs can even travel the ~2.3 km to make contact.
As the Teladi have stations in the sector I cannot reclaim it because the interface says Friendly stations or something along those lines.
Is there a way around this or should I just deal with it?

If you have an earlier save, revert to that and disable the ecobooster, otherwise disable the ecobooster and use the cheat scripts to cleanup the sector.TKup93 wrote:So I love your mod btw. Been using it for a good 6 months now, this is the first time ive ever come across a glitch type thing.

This bug i very anoying because i cant reproduce it myself; and it doesnt happen for everyone... so finding a fix is hard.
I don't have a clue whats going on here... Sounds like the Terran's are acting as if they are both hostile and friendly at the same time, which i didn't think was possible.[Click here to start] wrote:This may have been covered already, but I am having problems with the Terran claiming my sectors even when I have a defense fleet IS and have all members of that fleet set to be hostile toward them. The only way around i think would be to deal with it via ingame means, or deal with via the cheat package.

This doesnt happen to be one of the war zones? If thats the case the terrans & argon will simple bypass IR2.0 completely and change the ownership anyway. This may have been covered already, but I am having problems with the Terran claiming my sectors even when I have a defense fleet IS and have all members of that fleet set to be hostile toward them. I'm still having the invasions stopping after a period of about 1 game day. The "Clean Universe" option clears everything up, but the number of invasions is reduced than what it was when I first started the game when the invasions are turned back on. Each subsequent clean and re-enable reduces this until only about 1 invasion from 1 race is currently running. The array that logs the number of invasions is not being cleared I think. Either that, or once a race's tokens are spent they regenerate at an exponentially slower rate each time until nothing is generated.

That's awesome, I suddenly feel special.
Anyways, so I guess I'll just live with it. On the bright side, there is now excess terran supplies EVERYWHERE...yay...
