For those skilled at map modding (Unitrader + Observe I'm looking at you), adding these pirate zones wouldn't be too tough. Mostly I think it would be a mater of playtesting and balancing to include them in the economy in some way and have a way for players to get friendly if they so desired.

I'm disappointed... This thread was very funny when didn't have any info and spéculâtes about pancakes, waffles, and so.... :P

Now we have a pre public changelog, many thanks to ES and Moddos for charing though... :D

But look at you guys... It's a PREchangelog and you already are speculating about what should be next!! I'm ok with the idea of letting our minds dream about the future but please wait before run and walk one step at a time... Some will tell me that it's already been long since release to have something enjoyable... OK... but that's the way it is...

Now wait to test this 2.5 patch that IS incomming and then we can talk about what 2.5+ / 3.0 should be...

I'm sorry if I seem rude... I don't mean to, really... Maybe I am because I'm french and I don't use the words as I should to be accurate in what I mean...

:arrow: The Idea is wait for this one to come and see what's coming with it that is NOT in the changelog but will be a consequence of the patch (such as "economy sink coming from S&M ships building" possibility for exemple)

Pancakes for all to excuse me if I hurt anyone!!! :wink: :P

:arrow: @ Ego & Modos : Is there any vague idea of a public/beta release of this 2.5? I don't ask for a "Yes on tomorrow!!" but more like a week or a mounth? Even if I know you are "hard at work on" and it's not easy to answer in that case....

Never ask for ETA mini, we won't get one. As I've commented before as much as I want the new patch, I'd rather wait for the patch to be release ready than not. Last November being a prime example :D

So it's been almost 2 months since the last patch, sure Ego likes it's round numbers.
So maybe this week is the release date for the Beta?

It's almost always a Friday when they release to public beta - shove it out before the weekend at the 'oh sod it, it's near enough' stage.

Now when the patch notes are published, is there still a NDA in place? I would sure like to hear some first hand impressions of the new features.
