I agree.... It would be nice for ships crew to self repair it's modules over time but ships main hull should be repaired on shipyard automatically or manually.... (less micromanagement )

If that is case Skunk is 1000 years old too

Information about 1000 years is wrong and it have been already confirmed by Ego employ.... Also Yasa that girl in ships was little girl in AP adopted by some Telady... And she don't look more than 40 to me... So I would say time lap is 30 to 40 years if they live same amount of time as we do

30 years is about all the life you can expect from modern human mil aircraft.
There are plenty of exceptions but certainly the avionics would be way out of date and in a lot of cases non functional.
So yeah those M6s may be what they were in AP, OR not if they didn't get any spare parts or
tender loving care from Terran military "Ground Crews" after the gates collapsed/stopped/quit.

Refurbishment would be standard procedure for Katanas or Skunks in 30, 40 or 1000 years.

Yes, those are Katanas. Definitely.
They are even called "Katana"s, LOL.

But I think that they are just placeholders until they make the real ships. IMO they have to be placeholders, because Katanas really don´t fit the design style and looks of Rebirth.

It´s like putting the M1 Garand rifle in Mass Effect. Seriously.

3 months before release..... gamescon demo...... only ship they could have used is a placeholder and will not be in the game at all.......

Life span is that short because of lack of gravity (mussels and cells are becoming more dormant) and long exposure to radiation ( the higher altitude the higher radiation levels are ) And airplanes don't have effective radiation shielding... ) NASA already did research on that....That's why astronauts are working out every day like crazy

(on space station) With 1G gravity and radiation shielding and good diet there wouldn't be problem for anyone to live long time and after 5 to 6 generations we would adapt to live in space like that..... Also like I said before Bernt told us that Yasa was a little girl in AP and that there is hint somewhere in game.... In future who knows how much maintenance we are going to need.... Every day they are making stronger and more efficient materials.... Hell they want to build space elevator out of carbon nanotubes now

Technology is getting advanced every day and I'm pretty sure cars ,airplanes ..... will need less maintenance the more time passes... Look how much airplanes have improved and advanced and their life span is much longer than during WW2 models .....
