about the dyson sphere.....

Reading around, I figured that it's still bugged or something? I just got access to it myself....but the thing is in a gateless sector. Not really a prob for me with LV's satelitte and jumpdrive scripts. :P

THe prob comes up when I try to dock.....It's been about 2 days now of me working to get in, but it's be a no-go.

1. Just so it's clear....the entry spot is of the

2. If the Last Frontier position is bad, how do I go about getting it to a good spot to where I can dock with it.......

If I've understood you correctly you want missions from the Sphere?

Then you'll have to use the Xtended Comm. Theres a hotkey for the comm.

You have to adjust one. Options->Controles->Interface->Xtended Comm.

okay...been there, done that. still a no go with the dyson sphere.

just to be sure, what exactly is the next thing you do after delivering the

plutonium to the observer?
That's where I am at now for a couple of days. I can't seem to land at the sphere. And even after flying inside the bad boy manually and using the Xtended Comm right at the core of the sphere, still nada.

Any advice?

I recently installed the Xtended mod and it works great, although I try and use ShipCreator mod with it and it says "file not found" error and closes the game. It has only done this when I use ship creator and i start a custom game in the X universe. Does anyone know how to fix this, or can you not use another mod with Xtended?

it works with mine. but then again, I completely reinstalled X3 when I got XTM. Only things I got are LV's cheat scripts, the bonus pack 3.06, the 5 ships I add via the Ship Installer, anakaris carrier commands, and Cycrow's capital crew script.

Same with me, without the last two, maybe i messed up somewere... don't think i did though.

hey there,

first of all, awesome mod. Secondly, I need some help. I am running the mod as 11.cat and 11.dat so not as a mod, then I installed some ships with cycrows installer and started the game with his mod thing to use the ships. the ships work fine, the xtm works fine execpt one little problem. I don't know if it is already mentioned somewhere on the last 500 pages of this thread if so, let me know.
The problem is: I can't comand player owned ships to dock at the shipyard, however, if I play without the mod of cycrow they can. Can someone help me to use both the ships and the mod at the same time.

Hmm, well I had a problem were the game would crash, but would work perfect without cycrow mod too. Not the same problem, but I fixed it by uninstalling my ships then reinstalling them after clearing the X3 mod directory. Maybe that will work for you too, other than that i dunno.

Yep. Got nada. I even flew inside the Dyson Sphere manually.....right up to 2 km of the yellow core of the whole thing. Nada.

I suggest you build a little rep....a level or 2 more than the starting rep for the races. I know you should be able to dock at just about any station at the start. But when I first played with cycrow-installed ships in a story game (Extreme), I could only dock at Argon stations off the bat. But after gaiining a level or 2 of good rep with everyone else, I was able to dock at their stations as well.

Other than that, I say a complete reinstall of X3. That has took care of every problem that I had when I thought a mod conflict was taking place.

Problems with new patch OOPs please move to the xtended mod topic

Hi, have been enjoying the .7 release, great mod. I have just installed the patch and I'm having problems.

I used Cycrows installer to remove the scripts and then installed the latest patch.

The opening screens have reverted to the originals, and when I try to continue with a save game, it just crashes the game.

So what do I do now?

Further information:

On startup the splash screen does not allow the selection of a mod (greyed out).

I tried starting a new game and got the message:

You have tried to use the extended mod..... no mod files found.... please ensure the mod files are in the mod directory and select the xtended mod on startup.

Final Edit.

To fix:

1 Always have a backup copy of the game.
2 Reinstall the scripts and mod on to the vanilla game.
3. Works fine

4. The End

well, without the ship mod, everything works fine, i already had a clean install but still whenever I try the ship mod, I can't command my ships to land on the shipyard.
I tried the cheat scripts to give me some rep but that doesn't work either. Maybe the cheat doesn't work.
Anyone with the same problem that might have an idea as to what to do?

can you dock at equipment docks? when I started the game, I could dock anywhere except for the shipyard. Just started to do some trading and offing the various baddies to gain a few levels of rep and I was good to go and any station.

If push comes to shove, you can always go the trade extension route. I was able to do that to buy ships from the SY on from day 1. :)

I can dock at the equipment dock and so can my merkur (the one you have when you start a new game) but you can't command that merkur to dock at the shipyard. But if I run the game without the shipmod, the merkur is able to dock at the shipyard from the very beginning of the game. Do I have to push my rep first to get the command for the merkur to dock at the SY?
