EDIT** I'm running just the bonus pack, and NO mods.


I'm having an issue that's just rattling my brain.

I have just 1 silicone mine on a high yield asteroid. I wanted to assign just 1 CAG to buy the energy for the mine, and then sell the Silicone Wafers. Problem is, my CAG is buying the energy just fine, but refuse to touch and sell the silicone wafers.


I've tried just about everything. Even lowering my price of silicone. Now my mine is siting at 1040 units of silicone wafers, and not producing anything cause its full. Yet my CAG won't touch it. :roll:

This is driving me nuts, please help.

I'm by no means an expert and have not looked at the code, but I've encountered similar problems and think that I solved them through the pricing of the factory. I think the CAG will determine what it does depending upon the pricing of the factory, even though it doesn't really impact things in reality. I am not sure about this, but it's worth a try if you're stuck (and if no one else replies with a better answer).

The lowest price I've set the silicone to was 700. I could try lower, however, I know there's shortage around.


Edit* Browsing around, Maybe the price of the silicone is way too high. But in game, the max is like 770. I will try later tonight.

Also try upgrading. I believe this is the page for the CAG software. It's 3.4.0.0 which is higher than is listed in this thread. I think Handelsvertreter means Commercial Agent auf Deutsch.

I have a quick question.

I'm a bit confused with the station money option.
If I want a station to maintain 200,000 credits and pay me if it sells, and take money from me (back to 200,000) when it buys, how would I do this?

I'm trying out CAG for the first time with AP and have a problem.

I've assigned 3 TS's to an SPP. Nearest source of crystals is 8 jumps away. The CAG is only taking 100 energy cells on board when it leaves the station and is not jumping. I've set the autojump setting to 50 jumps, and the cag setting to 2000 energy cells.

When I tell the trader to return and dock at the station it'll autofill with 500 ecells. But when I re-enable CAG it drops this to 100 ecells.

The trader has 15,775 cargo and some 945 of it is occupied including the 100 energy cells.

Anyone know what's wrong? I've been through the ship and station menus and can't see anything obvious.

Check the jump settings within the CAG, theres another energy cell number setting in there.

It's the weirdest thing. I assign a home base, select commercial representation and hit go. It erases the home base and the command says None. :?

I'll be honest I'm ruddy terrible with CAG. Is there a good guide out there? I'm familiar with the youtube tutorial and the pilot training guide. I'm looking for a nice, english pdf or something that lists what every single thing means and does.

To me it sounds like there's a problem with the script installation. I'd reinstall it. I'm also not aware of any PDF but I think the author intended to make one.

It's incredible. I just bought two Mistrals and upgraded them with the required software, put a LO/MD in them and assigned both to my space fuel distillery.

Mistral A did as I commanded and is now selling space fuel.
Mistral B clears his home base setting and goes to None after the exact same order.

Incredible lol.

I just installed the latest version two nights ago.

The real question is whether you installed anything else since then that is interfering with it.

No. I have installed the latest version of XRM since the problem occurred but prior to this issue the two most recent downloads have been his most recent version and the most recent library.

I've since uninstalled and reinstalled the bonus pack instead with the older versions in hopes that fixes it.

Trading station problem

I was wondering if any one can help me with this, my CAG wont sell wares from my TS, he is a Major dealer so there shouldnt be and problem with his rank, his ware list is set to trade and not blacklist ( i have been caught out by that before :oops: ) has anyone ever encountered this before and if so have you any ideas as to fixing it?

Post a log for further information, please. Via the "Analysis to log"-feature you can create one and find it afterwards in a textfile, just beneath your savegame directory.

He must have just been slow or something lol he started back up when i loaded my game again, still not sure what the problem was but it seems to be fixed now thanks anyway for answering me Saetan :D

i have a problem, my CAG's are alll setup (3 TS)

they work all fine for a while, but then one of them will have the following

LOCATION: (or something like that) ****
DEST: HomeBase


then in the Action box it's stuck on IDLE, every few minutes the action will change, but then quickly go back to IDLE, the ship is just outside a station, no movement for over an hour game time


Observations, Notes.

the CAG that gets stuck is full with SILICON,

my only station i have is a HUB connected to two mines

the hub is full with silicon, so CAG ship in question can't unload cargo back to HUB

i have only uncovered a 6 jump radius



the only way i could get the ship started again was by telling the ship to goto homebase......... once there then start trader again, all working for sometime...... but every now and then one of them if not more will show the same symptom again.

MK3_Opt.1.4.0 (this one overwrites quite a few files with stock scripts)

i would just use the Sell best ware, but there are some advance functions though that CAG has which i will definitely need when I'm a lot further into the game, and my company becomes an empire sort of thing.

(i'm sure i sue to have this same problem back when i was playing Terran, as this problem definitely feels familiar)

please advise.


EDIT

i'm using 3.3.03, am i suppose to use the new one 3.4.01?
