Just curious if there is a way to use some of the ships in this mod in another? Im currently using the XTMod, but i would like to be able to use a couple of the ships from this one? Is there anything i can do to just add some of the ships or maybe run this mod along with the XTM? The main one im interested in is the Argon Nova X.

Bandon, X3's support for new races is rather poor. The job file cant support them, hence the reason for the way they are done now. Basically making them a new race would lead to many other problems.
and to defiancey, no the ships not designed to be exported/imported. This often leads to many bugs, crashes etc. and also cheapens them. I would also not like to see parts of my mod in another. If the authors of a ship wish to release the ship to the community I'm fine with that, however I do/will not release ships. sorry.

Well, for the sake of argument, i'll say that none of my ships will be in any other mods, with the exception of the ones that i'm currently helping with development. As good or bad my ships are, they will not be out there with the xtm compatible stamp, it's just my way, and i do applogive for being like this but, you can't show an old dog new tricks... And i'm not going to think twice on that!

The project has also gained another great modeller - crip67.
Today I have his first (of hopefully many) ships - the Terran Aurora (M2). This ship can be brought at 'The Sol System' (like all the Terran ships now) and can be fully armed with the local equipment dock. These ships are not cheap!
ps. You can now trade with all Terran stations, buy Terran ships and even buy equipment from the Terrans.

Hi, ive just added some more pictures. The first is from the new Yaki Home-world - 'Yaki Homeland, Yaki M4 by killertide and finally the new Goner home-world - 'Enlightenment', complete with Goner shipyard (so you can buy the new Goner ships)

hi, im not sure when it will be released - im getting content from both crip67 and killertide all the time. Looking like we might get some M0's (so far some excellent designs). So the longer it takes, the more stuff will be in it
. so far the dat has grown to 45mb from 22mb ( v2.08 ).
as for compatibility, its still compatible with vanilla and with Roguey's X3 v2.08- save games. So its pretty compatible
The only feature missing in non-restarted games is the new 22 sectors (64 on vanilla games).

well so far extra in v3.00 is:

- 22 more sectors added (restarted games only – now over 64 more than a normal X3 game),

- Changed sector graphics for Shadow Promise,

Those updates look really good. Looking forward to giving it a shot! When do you think v3.00 will be ready?
If you need some ideas for BBS missions, consider adding:
Expanded standard missions: For example, start with a mission that SEEMS like a regular xenon taxi mission (I got some schematics, Xenon after me), once you get him to the station he has an extra offer for you. "You handled that really well. Look, my partner wasn't so lucky, and he had the second half of the schematics needed. If you're interested in retrieving it from the wreckage, I can offer you XXXXX credits (double what was offered to begin with). The next stage would require you going to specific coordinates (ala the treasure hunt), and then either retrieving a cargo pod (again, ala the treasure hunt) or an almost destroyed M5 which you need to claim to concider to have gained the data and return to the mission start. Naturally there should be some Xenon in the area to give you a hard time first.
That's just one example. Heck, you could probably come up with expanded stages for many of the missions (standard taxi service, which if completed in 1/3 the required time turns out to be a test for a covert opperation mission: "You made that run in record time. Look, I have an offer for you")
Expanded standard missions should look like regular missions at first I think (to avoid people from just looking for the special missions only), and they should also have the option of not taking on the second/third/fourth stages of it (my examples above only gave a second stage, but when they finish that there could be a third, why not?)
Also new missions that are clearly multi-stage would be good as well. For the assassination missions, why not have it so there are 3 "most wanted" people, and once you get one you're given the details on the next (each one tougher than the last)? Or perhaps given details of all three up front (you choose what order to take them out in)?
You could have recon missions? Where you have to go into a dangerous sector, scan an installation with a cargo scanner, and get out again alive.
You could have escort missions, where a cargo transport is going to make a run through Pirate Alley (or some such) and needs you to babysit them.
The possibilties are endless, the important thing is variety!

Wish List for Rougey's Mod... or is this available other ways?
In-game info regarding hard to find stuff – ie where is the pirate shipyard in case you want to buy ships there? Could be as news message, or pay for information? Message at Pirate base only?
Upgradeable spacesuit (can I get a pirate spacesuit that moves fast and has a weapon, man I could have used one a while back).
Pilot upgrades? Something equivalent of a MK3 trading unit, but for fighting? (who could bail just like other pilots and be retrieved)
Ability to capture pilots but not sell them as slaves, just release them at trading station (perhaps get a small rescue fee and reputation increase? If they are pirates, perhaps get bounty for live capture (if licensed)?
Ability to do custom paint jobs without needing the Player HQ? (maybe a BBS offer?)
What about dividing up the BBS into two sections? Jobs BBS and General BBS? Add a new button for it. Jobs BBS is only jobs. General BBS is news, offers, and everything else. Can new options be added on the menu bar this way?
Bring Back The Spam. What made the spam not work was that a) there was too much of it, and b) it was the same stuff over and over. Could a new spam generator be created that created better news articles?
In a related vein, why not have stuff that happens in the universe (ie major Ka'ack attack) be reported in the news? Vultures who are fast enough might get there in time to scoop up some debris
The same can be said for many news stories, couldn't there be a mission connection for stories? A report about a new vid premier would activate a very lucrative job in the sector the report is talking about, if you get there within X minutes. Same thing for a prison break, you could be offered a lucrative bounty if you get to that sector fast.
That kind of thing.

thanks mossfootx, you gave me some ideas. I do like the idea of the news ticker, dumping relevant news into the board. The old X2 news just spammed the board.
Although these missions could be fairly complex for me. Although I will have a look into them.
as for the armed spacesuit, that's already in v2.08!

Good news for traders. Terrans now have their own energy cells now - Fuel Cells. They make them at their local power plant and use them to power their mines and shield factories. This opens up more trading options for you. The Terran M1 and M2 can be brought costing a massive 180 and 236 million credits. Equipment docks supply you with the Terran weapons. The terran's are different part of X3 now, right from the start!
Although these missions could be fairly complex for me. Although I will have a look into them.

Interesting. If Terrans are there from the start, why not arrange news (if you create a news ticker
) to reflect the fact that it's after the events of X3. Make it X3.5

the only thing i hate about doing a news ticker is witting all the text for it. Im more of a coder than a writer
my spoiller and grammor chocker tells me so! 
as for the spacesuits, I think you cant buy them but you should be able to 'capture' one. Im not too sure on the models of space-suits. If they too good, they will make a M5 look out of place and a poor choice.

I'd love to see a sneak peek video, that's for sure 
Why not get some people to provide news stories for you? Generic ones of the style I mentioned which you could then encode onto mission triggers in those sectors. The key here is to make them flexible so they can be used in a variety of ways.
Also, remember the idea for major attacks that happen due to the various generators should trigger stories as well.

Pretty neat!
However, as much as I love the increase in ships and worlds, you should remember its the little things that help make the Xuniverse feel more "real", such as the BBS missions and other features I suggested. That's what will take something like 3.00 from being just an add-on of X3 and into something better and more memorable
