Hello.

Downloaded some of the BSG ships from the XSP Database to add to the game but a few aren't working quite right. I do have the xtended mod installed as well.

Basically the two vipers and the raptor, all version 3. All I see are the engine lights. I assume the textures arent loading or something. Any suggestions?

There seems to be a couple of different files for some of these ships. My suggestion is to try all of them, uninstalling the old before installing the new. The one I've been using is BSG_75_Galactica_Ribbed_HB and it seems to work from what I can tell.

been checking back here now and again but all is quiet these days. I was hoping someone would eventually come up with a mod/model combo that would defo work for the battlestar.

please let me know if anyone has (am thinking thats why its so quiet).

I haven't been able to enjoy x3 since seeing the Galactica and not being able to make her work. got as far as having the turrets working perfectly but no hull (not using extended mod).

I tried the ribbed HP Zore, but as above no hull. used to get hull but half turrets working. :? .

maybe something for you?

Mod called Battlestar Galactica - Rise of the Cylons. A fanproject based on the new series. BSG universe, weapons, wares, etc. on X³ engine.

They also used Hawkbs ships, advanced them or used as rolemodel.
Atm an eglish translation is in progress, it's a german mod.

First off Im new to the X3 game so bare with me
I am totally in the dark as to where to put these files and you mentioned a change is needed in the two viper models by opening the XSP files.
How do you do that?

Hi,

I decided to give some of your BSG ships another shot because I had issues before with a couple... All of them load, work and look correct in either X3R or X3TC EXCEPT for the battlestars! NONE of them show up correctly. They all appear as BLACK although turrets appear to be showing correctly.

I now remember this is why I never used them before.. The ships appear in game, just pitch black all over no matter what angle you look at them.

Does anyone know the cause or a fix for this?

I would love to finally be able to use Battlestars..

BTW, This effects both Galatica's models, Valkrye model and Pegasus model.

Sounds to me like the textures havent been loaded into the CAT file by the ship installer you used. Only way to fix it is to either uninstall and reinstall the ship or Manually add the missing files to your Mod using Mod Manager.
I will be reworking them all once Ship Creator is fully compatible with X3TC.

Use Ship Creator for the change as well as installing.

I trust you meant this
I made a slight mistake with the Viper Mk2 and Mk7 after a few too many beers. The classes are the wrong way around. This is an easy fix without the need to reupload/download.
Open the XSP's and change the MK7 from an M5 to M3 and the Mk2 from M3 to M5 . Sorry for the mix up there.

Galactica's hull

If this is in the wrong place, I apologise.

I've downloaded every single copy of the Galactica mod that I can find and I end up with one of two issues: I either have the hull and only the side turrets working, or I have a fully functional weapons array... floating in space. No ship body. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Filefront did not close down. The original owners took it over and kept it going.

Im only doing Terran Conflict Mods now sorry guys. Sorry but I cant do both. It would just get too confusing.

If you have TC Ive just uploaded a new version.

Yes they should work with XTM if I recall

That was an isssue with Ship Creator I believe. You just have to uninstall and reinstall till it comes good. Sorry but Cycrow isnt around to sort anything out at the moment and he wrote it.

Galactica's front,top and bottom won't fire........but her guns the left.
right and back will fire......

Hey there, might have missed it but I've been looking for BSG ships for a while. Went to the XSP Database but that place I click the dl and it is text file, so I see yours but it is TC and a .dat file. Is there an xsp only file somewhere?

The problem with te XSP Database site is that the download links only works with the IE :evil:
